    Wild edibles

Spotted (and eaten) on a bike ride today. Probably the first "wild" fruit I was introduced to as a kid, yummmm...

    Flower advice

Looking great so far, I'd shoot for 3-4 more weeks if they stay healthy. And yeah all pistils should be brown. Good luck!

    Gnats! Wanna sterilize soil

Mosquito Bits/Mosquito Dunks work too and can be mixed into the top layer of soil, pretty sure they're the same microbes as the BMC stuff...

Deficiency has reached my main cola, should I throw this thing out? What should I do?

Are you sure you need to be pH'ing your water? Mid-7's doesn't sound that bad for an organic grow. Is that supposed to be a water-only soil? What size container and have you given it any other fertilizer? Since it's mostly on the tops, are you sure your lights aren't too close? I'd try to...

To mix or not to mix

I would mix. Even a seedling will sink a tap root to the bottom of a 5-gallon pot in just a few days. If you're worried about the mix being too hot, I'd start in a smaller pot of a weaker mix and then transplant into the full-strength one.

    Berries

Actually I could be wrong. I think we have an ever-bearing variety, they fruit their first year in the fall on the upper part of the cane, then the following year in early summer on the lower part...

    Berries

Not sure if this applies to all varieties, but I think they fruit near the top of the cane the first year/season, then on the middle the second year, then kinda fizzle out and can be removed. Blackberries are the ones that grow up super long and then arch over

    Deficiency in...?

That sounds like a lot of food and a lot of light. Not sure what ideal PAR and PPM numbers are, but most of the ones I see on here are only 3 digits. I'd say it's more likely too much of something than not enough...

How long left - day 52

Still a decent amount of white pistils. I'd check back in a couple weeks. Looks plenty frosty though!

    No run off with organics?

Your plants look great! Personally I think the no runoff/no soaking up runoff in organics thing is a bit exaggerated. The only time I would avoid letting the plants sit in runoff is when the are very small. Once they get a decent root ball established, they can handle sitting in a bit of water...

    Flowers

    Definitely, they are strictly ornamental.

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Yeah, all the nutrition is in the soil, the reservoir is just there to keep the soil evenly moist. If some roots grow into it, great, but it's not required.

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

This isn't like a hempy bucket in that respect, the soil should be pretty evenly moist throughout and not require top-watering. And the roots don't always grow down into the reservoir, sometimes they just stay in the soil.

Longtime Espoma Garden Tone user, who else uses the Espoma tone line?

We've been using exclusively Espoma fertilizers in the outside garden for a while. For the indoor weed garden, I've been using a mix of KiS Organics Nutrient Pack and Tomato-Tone, but since I ran out of the KiS I think I'm gonna switch to mixing Bio-Tone and Tomato-Tone. My goal is basically to...

    Exausting outside of grow room

I just mean having the high-power connections be as direct as possible to the generator. If you're having to daisy-chain stuff, have as few connection points between the source and the high-power devices as possible. And I just reread your post. I'm not sure if this is what you're planning on...

    Exausting outside of grow room

Extension cords will usually have a rating in Amps and sometimes Watts (Watts = Amps x Volts), no matter what length they are (a longer cord with the same size wire will have a lower rating than a shorter one). 1385 Watts is equal to about 11.5 Amps at 120V. So 15-Amp cords should be...

    Temporary humidity spike from ac

Dehumidifiers are only really effective when they're working on a somewhat fixed volume of air (like in a room or one floor of your house). If your tent is outside, you're basically trying to dehumidify the entire outside world... Is it not possible to move that setup inside? It seems far from...

Plants not responding to treatment. Deficiencies worsening over time. Mephisto & Humboldt Freebie Run

Just my 2 cents: Sounds like too much humus in the mix, between compost and ewc you're at 60% of the total mix. Next time go for more like 20-30%. Did you add any of the Dr Earth amendments to the original mix? Or just top-dress? With organics it's really hard to catch up once you get behind...
