6 weeks from sprout, tomorrow. I broke a branch accidentally and taped it up hence a single leaf showing a deficiency, it recovered rapidly. It is consuming about 1.5 litres of hard tap water per day, 30 litres of soil seems to be enough to buffer the ph. Its mostly coco coir. I've not fed it at all except a few banana peels. I can't make up my mind what to replenish the soil with at the end of the grow but one thing i've learned is it does not need to be expensive.WhatsApp Image 2024-04-05 at 21.08.43_2e863a5d.jpg

Day 46 Banana Purple Punch auto, Fastbuds seed, the plant looks healthy and is now full size at 21" tall by 32" wide, it was topped at second node. Branches are tied down all around via holes in the pot and pipe cleaners . No defoliation needed, a few leaf tucks, not many. I'm using two drip feeding water bottles, 6.5 and 3.5 litres and a single usb 8" fan usually blowing air across the light, this strain is said to be very mould resistant so should be adequate. I vent into the loft through a small 4" carbon filter and in the loft I use a cheap inline fan for extraction which will make its way into the street. The setup is quiet enough to sleep in the same box sized room the tent is in. Temperatures are now down to about 25c with the window open. No smell inside the house at all, but I did have to reduce the input vent size covering 3/4 with the flap to maintain a negative pressure. I've decided to replenish the soil with Phostrogen organic granules, suitable for vegans, at the end of the grow. Maybe throw in some different pelletized manures as well, chicken and cow.

Eight weeks from sprout. Did some mild defoliation to reduce risk of mould more than anything. No red colours coming through.0bf558b7-8010-4fa3-8d68-5d733766703e.jpg7efe69e0-310c-467b-ba03-57d506ca258a.jpg

Nine weeks from sprout. It is wider than it is tall at approximately 31 x 22" tall. I watered in 50 grams of Phostrogen Organic, granular nutrient to the soil about 1.5 weeks ago with no issues, first time I've used it.

Ten weeks and three days from sprout. Some defoliation of oldest leaves, mild lollopopping for something to smoke. Decided to give it a bit more time to fatten the lower buds. Seems to be a smoke that I sleep well with, already off the amitriptyline, don't need it with this plant. I just left it for 5 days unattended, I can do so because of the pot size, 30 litres, probably 60% coco coir. combined with drip feeding water bags.

Dry weight. 10.8 ounces. Next time I'd take out some branches for higher quality buds as they are a bit light. Alternatively could add an led ;ight as the 150w used is best suited to a 2ft x 2ft. I am a bit dissapointed i didn't get a red plant, and can't say the smell fitted the descriptions I've read, but still pleased with the plant, really easy to grow. I have two more seeds to try. I got them from herbies. Its quite a good smoke for getting to sleep, with dry eyes and mouth no worse than taking Amitriptyline. I've not had any anxiety since with it,, that said life has been going my way recently. It seems to have longer lasting effects than any other auto i've grown, I quite like it, would grow again, its potency seems on par with a lot of potoperiod plants. - It goes to show you can get good results topping an autoflowering plant at the second node if you have a height issue in your grow setup, and leaving the light on 24/7 is completely fine, i've done so quite a few times with no ill effects. I'll add more fans next time for sure, the risk of mould was high with what i used, but low noise was my priority for this particular grow.
