I started growing them last May. I thought I'd practise before I grow a real nice strain. Just ordered a pack of purple widows and am waiting for them to arrive. For the meantime, here's my practise grow. :weed:

Good stuff... way too many people don't even know if they can grow any plant.. and some just have bad "plant luck"... one guy I saw a while ago had spent like $150.00 on beans and got fuck all at the end..... Luck..

Thank you Twistyman

I had 100% germination rate on this one. Six seeds sprouted into six seedlings.

I actually learned a lot from this grow i.e. stretching, nute feeding, etc.. Hopefully I can do much better in the future :leaf:

Outdoor growing is the best :weed:

There is no such thing as schwag seeds! just bad genetics....schwag is usually, well always either a male plant or a female plant that got pollinated(seeded)...as long as you kill the males, those random seeds your using could turn into some great bud!

I hope youre right Zig Zag Zane! With the right amount of love, they could turn out nice! *good vibes* :-)

Hello 420smokeone. I'm still vegetating. The plants are a little over 6 weeks old and 20-24cm tall. I'm hoping I can get at least one female, and if I do, I'll let you know. For the meantime, lets keep tabs on each other's grow! :)

they look healthy, I think you'll get more than one female;-), and yeah if you dont let the females get pollinated, its hard NOT to get some dank, sensimilla will always be better than a seeded crop...

Thanks for the kind words Weedy! Right now I have about 11 going, 5 of which I already know are female, and I wont be starting anymore seeds so Ill probably only end up with six females final, but who knows! I might get more females and plus Im allowed 12 flowering so this year ill even be under my limit...the ones that are in holes in the ground are all female, anyways yeah pretty much all of california is great for growing, I love my sunny Socal though! thanks again, and hit me up if you need some advice or help... we're friends now! lol :peace:

good luck and i wish i would of used shwagg seeds for my first grow but hey my first grow seems to be a sucess im in my seventh week of flowering and they look great and is it legal to grow mj in cali? i heard some parts let u grow legally but u get taxed on it and theres a whole bunch of laws that also follow

By the way, I had to limit my plants to 3 for conventional reasons. Instead of 6, I now have 3. Besides, I plan to germinate 6 of the 12 purple widow seeds when they arrive, and I can't have too many plants!

I know I have been researching for a long time now and I have seen countless numbers of pre-flowering pictures so I can properly equip myself with knowledge when the time comes when I have to identify males from females.

Anyhow, this morning I found 2 of my plants' top nodes looking like this: (refer to picture)

Do they look like pistils to you guys? I am not sure and I need your experienced eyes' opinion. :leaf:

My plants are sativa and about 6 weeks old.

My package has arrived this morning! 12 seeds of Purple Widow bred by De Sjaaman and purchased from everyonedoesit.com, UK.

By the way, for those who are not living in the US, I highly recommend Everyonedoesit.com. They sell the seeds cheap and the shipping is also cheap ($5 cost of shipping arrived in the Philippines in 5 working days). Excellent service and stealth packaging. They also throw in some freebies.

I won't order anywhere else!
