Dont forget the distance the light takes up plus distance from plant it has to be. You'll quickly run out of hieght, well again thats my issue. Every grow i have to tie some down or bend stalks to keep from burning and i use a ducted (kind of lol) 600.

the first pic was at 1 week after transplant/beginning of flower, the second pic is at 4 weeks into flower. I had about a 250% growth increase during the first 2 weeks of flower.

Wow! Awesome grow. I was wondering if you put additional drill holes in the pots??? I didn't do that with mine and I was contemplating it. Also, with those babies so close together do you ever runn into problems with roots touching each other??? Well done!!!

I switched to ebb and flow and my plants grow crazy fast. I did 3 weeks veg and in that time I topped them for 4 mains and the mains were over 6" at the flip and around 18" now.

This is today at 31 days total grow with 10 of the days under 12/12.

Yea, But I have the same problem with height limitations as you do. After 10 days of 12/12 they have already stretched to 18". I am wondering if maybe if I would have vegged the the plants for say, 5-6 weeks instead of 3 before topping, being more mature they would have stretched less? I will be watching your thread closely so let your thoughts and experiences fly! :peace:

From my understanding, when roots touch in hydro applications, oxygen gets restricted and roots hate that shit. I don't ever have issues with roots and oxygen because I implement 5 air stones, a powerful pump, and only a 27 gallon res. On top of that I use h2o2 to enrich the oxygen levels in the water. If there's any other reasons people could think of, why roots can't touch, I'd like to know.....maybe theres knowledge about how plant roots don't like the cooties of other plant roots?

ive been doing dwc hydro for years. love hydro. and veg time for me is different. I start from clone. seeds end up in the mother tent. whatever the height of your plant is ,it will get 3 times bigger. so keep that in mind with the size of your room. supercropping and lst work great as well as sog method. excellent turnouts.

I dont use any air until the last two weeks and floom. My roots are a tangled mess. Just think dwc and the root mass produced. Im a newb but really dont think roots touching is a huge deal but oxygen is lol. Also not sure if H2O2 is used to add oxygen to the water specifically but it does do that. How often are you adding it?

Top row is white widow and bottom is medusa. 2nd week veg. No stretching, staying bushy and all systems are a go for now (knock on wood).

My pots sit on the bottom of my table. Some say that is a no no. My table doesn't fully drain. It holds about 3/8" and the bottom of the pots and the roots sit in it. Some say that is a no no. I put a lot of holes in my pots so the roots will run out and tangle together. Some say that is a no no. I am still making changes to better my grow but I am not having any issues from any of the above.

I also run 2 air bars in my res all of the time. It keeps the plants happy and helps to keep the res healthy.

To clarify. H20 is 2 hydrogen 1 oxygen molecule. Hydrogen peroxide is 2 hydrogen AND 2 oxygen. Roots really really love it, and its a good sterlant for you res and root zone. I always tone my usage from recommended, but I always use it....cocoa or ebb and flow.
