Tkowitha, have you ever given your plants just water to try to flush, or just water for a feed as a mini flush? If so did your top leaves spot up n crust away, fast? Trying to solve dudes problem on the other nectar thread.

When mine got crusty as they were finishing up, I was pretty much just putting in water by then, as I was in a semi-super soil mix. I also wasn't ph'ing my water during that run either, and it comes out of the tap 8.0-8.2. I also had a pretty drastic dehydration situation earlier in flower on that run.

So far so good on this run. Keeping much tighter control of the factors that I think led to my previous problems.f But I'll know more in the coming weeks.

i think its importiant for people to know that your plants have spent their entire life making cells one way, then when you switch to just water the cells are weak and not very durable, basically aren't made well. i dont know why this happens, but i seriously think this to be the spotting then crusting of top leafs problem....its like the plants burn from light that shouldn't be affecting them in any way. i also think spreading bad info is a no no, so please sound off and help with this riddle

lots of different opinions on should you ph your tap water. at 8.2 i probably would. i dont use just water ever anymore, but if i did use just water for something, say a flush, my tap is like 7.2 7.3 i wouldn't ph it myself. i dont wanna put the down buffers in my soil, and its a chance to re buffer your mediums ph level so you dont have to feed at 6.5, instead you can feed at 6.2 and let the plant get food from all ranges of the ph scale.

just my 2 cents

I agree with pretty much everything you're saying, especially the burning that is observed in an otherwise good environment temp/humidity/etc. My own eyes tell me that pH is important. Maybe not to degree that it is with coco or a hydro setup, but important still. Getting a good micro herd going with tea and keeping them going is also important to proper nutrient uptake in the soil I describe. I'm really feeding the herd, while they feed my babies!

Just as there are many ways to grow, there are also many ways to use your nutrients. Just have to find what works for you and make the little tweaks here and there until you find that perfect combo that works for you!

I've been using NFTG for about a year now. I switched from H&G because I wanted to go organic. I do use a little Great White during veg & foliar spray with both Posidenzyme & Pegasus Potion during veg & the first couple weeks of bud. After that I use Posidenzyme in the water & also use Bloom Khaos & Tritons Trawl throughout the bud phase. I'm quite happy with the results I've been getting. I get about the same production as I did with H&G but the flavor is a better. I use some Hurculean Harvest & Aphrodite's when flushing. My water comes out of the tap at 6.8 so, I have good water & don't adjust the ph during flush. I flush for 2 full weeks. Life is good!!!!!

couldn't of said it better.
i am also using nectar and had a ton of cal mag prob on a test run the first time this is my second grow and so far awesome but what ive notice my plants are not getting big and tall like before but leaves have more girth i have everything in this line except 2 bottles from the pro line and bloom kaos my first run i got 13 oz off a 1000w 4x4 setup wasnt to happy till after the cure then i see why this lineup is making alot of noise lately on the scene

I noticed some issues with using bloom khaos on some foreign clones that weren't feed with nectar, all twisty leaf's and weird growth but that was when I was doing a crap ton of foliar feeding too so I'm assuming the issues were related

You have to be using the line if your gonna use bloom chaos, especially hh. It is calcium def. The twisting and stuff.... Plant begging for cal

correction to my reply i do have kaos bloom and prophet i see the 216 are you from the 216
Yesir I am. Do you have a good pH meter? You should really do a slurry test and get a general report on the conditions in your soil. You can get more weight than that, and I agree, nectar makes a plant smell and taste exactly like it's supposed to. Go on leafly.com, look up your strain grown with nftg and tell me that your plant does not have all the proper smells n tastes.

it awesome and when foiler feeding bloom kaos you also have to give the plants a feeding of nftg nutes or calcium or its going to go haywire the smell and taste its amazing . im going to run it again. see if the yield produce more i think changing my hood might help i have a sunsystem 6 1000w laying around. last run i used a raptor 8 xxl thinking it would be better for tent i was wrong read the sun system is much better for tent. i will no longer support other states buy local is my motto now
