i was always a BIG fan of soilless mediums... which IS hydroponics, BTW... all hydroponic means is introducing the nutes through the water... but in my smaller grow the problems of dealing with soil or soilless root bound material is getting to be an issue... i dont have 70 acres to dump it in anymore :p

so, i am liking the idea of going aeroponic in the future.

i used to seriously have the same attitude you and fdd have... but as i get older i think it has more to do with the grower.... the reason being is there is no doubt that an aero system grows better roots and grow the plants faster.. this means that with the proper nutes being added at the proper timing the buds should easily be the same or better... soil guys can be such snobs ;) and i say that as a formerly die hard soil guy ;)

read Al B Fuct's thread on "get a harvest every 2 weeks" satman and you will learn a lot about hydro... and see that there aint shit wrong with his buds ;)

i sure hope that made some form of sense, i am a tad out of my skull tonight :p

I am not nay saying hydro at all...it is weed on steroids basically....it just doesnt have the same flavor..but you can grow the shit out of it! then water cure and amaze your friends...lol:mrgreen:

I guess its time to let you guys in on the longer range theory that started this experiment...ok...aeroponics grows fast...60 days depending on strain...soil...more like 90...but you can get more from soil,unless you are good,as earl demonstrates almost daily.
Here it is in a nutshell....grow aero,from clone,12/12 with a 1 week cycle,2 weeks before a normal harvest.This will delay harvest by a month,but double bud production....thats what this whole thing is about.This experiment is the first step.So far,so good

flavor comes from the food you use and the strains... there is nothing in dirt that leads to that heavy skunky flavor we all like ;) it is all in what you feed em...

i think part of why we soil guys get this opinion is most hydro growers start doing that cause they are not as anal about their grows as we are... just a theory of course and not meant as harsh as it sounds.

i think though if we grow with the same level of dedication but use the advanced methods of getting root growth we should grow some of the best shit around... cant wait to prove it!

oh, and if i sound belligerent, sorry... i had to take some pharmaceuticals tonight and my brain is cooked.... vice takes practice :p

just having a difference of opinion and have NO personal data to back it up ;)

lol sweet the mascot!! what am i going to dres sup ass white widow?LOL,i really want to go hydro though or something because itll grow quicker,itll be easier for me cause of the small space i have,my space will be outgrown in like a month i only got bout 2 an dhalf feet of space where im currently at

BFQ thanks,and i will eventally i just am better at reading stuff then watching someone do it and trying to copy them,and im really interested to see how Satmans turns out cause if its nice id want to make mine like his,my friend built one and a tent for his plants,hes like the master of building shit haha like seriouslly his rubbermaid setup was pretty tight theway he put it together!! and he gave me 6 free cfls!
