I live on the big island and from what I am seeing for discrimination, you fit in or you don't. You have to be invited to use some of the boat ramps or when you get back to shore your truck will be up side down with no tires. I don't know where Hickam is, Honolulu I guess.

I seem to fit in with the fisherman on the big island and the town I live in is about 8% white. This last week I have been wacking the mahi mahi and ono with a new kite method and bait set up that has made me a lot of local friends. So I am liking it here but I have a long ways to go before I could use some of the local boat ramps with out fear of getting fucked. But I am getting there. Anyway, just so you know.

I walked in to a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant(with my Guatemalan crew supervisor) in Irving, Tx and was promptly told to gtfo because I was a guero culero(white asshole).

What did I do about it? Went to the hole in the wall Mexican restaurant across the street and they politely accepted my money and I ate some badass tacos. My guy says he hasn't been back since. Fuck 'em.

Same guy introduced me to a shack attached to the back of a Mexican grocery store that made the best tacos I ever had. I go there whenever I'm in that area(it's probably 30 miles from my house, but do plenty of work in the area).
