Yeah, $500, 250w for something ready to plug in, but I don't see them in Warm White, 2700K.

Cree Lighting CXB-23L-40K-U-1-HC/CXB-A 240W LED High Bay

Since they are high bay fixtures, they want them 4000K, Cool White.

I'm about to go bin hunting for some 4k cxas but before I do I figured I'd post and ask which were most efficient between the 3070s vs. 3590s and by how much? Worth the extra investment?

Have you experimented with 4k vs 5k in veg? Like the look of the 4 more but may grow tighter nodes with less 500-680? Thanks man

EDIT: I found that only the 4k Z2 80CRI 3070s, and z4 75CRI 5k 3070s are available. Between the two I wanna hear votes what you think, people! The low CRI of such a heavier blue cob makes me worry its doubling up on the amount of blue its putting out which pushes me towards the 4000k. Lumens battle is: 7945-8534 (5k) vs. 7390-7938 (4k)

I bet you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the two.

Hey man last I checked, Amelia from Aliex claims to have CXA3070 5K BB bin, $40 shipped. I will message them again and see if they still have it.

Amelia, ill start looking around. BB would rock, lower CRI but definitely killer output compared to the Z4 bin.

Is there a way to search sellers on ali? I just started clicking random products trying to find Kingbright

Thank you supe I've been in touch with Jerry just earlier. He has the AB 80cri 4000s, and the AD 80cri 5s (<- top bin, kickass) just emailed Amelia and waiting to hear back but chances are I am going with those ADS since I'm assuming the bb is the 70-75cri

I'm glad they're still the bees' knees because I'd been building up to the purchase for some time. I got them at kingbrite and unless I was misled they're the 3000k CB. I had arranged the order just after New Years so I may have gotten lucky with stock.

I'm going to run 8 of them at 350mah in a 2x4 with 8x8(or 4x16) inch sections of 4.9" heatsink USA. Powered with a HLG-120H-C350b and a HLG-60H-C350b (a little extra room on this one). I'm hoping four 5 gallon pots will fill a screen in there with half a poodle of lettuce, but next time I will compost more soil.

colleagues, column 8 is for efficiency, isn't it?

good point, they are a lot cheaper and I wish we could see the spds to compare them

Yes sounds like a very lucky score, 54.6% @ 350mA crazy efficiency for cheap! You downgrade my lamp and @churchhaze lamp to second best ( :crying, kidding...maybe) Making more than twice as much light/W than many commercial lamps, meaning 1/3 the heat!

supra,

I noticed that comment above, what have you guys weighted in as a number to what HPS efficiency is, if I can ask ? and is this for the new 400 volt bulbs?

thanks as always, as this section thrives from your knowledge

I estimate 35-36% for standard 600-1000W HPS and ~40% for the 1000W DE HPS, when the bulbs are brand new. Of course they cannot be compared directly, a 600W 35% efficient LED will grow a lot more bud than a 600W HPS. Just how great the difference is is a controversial topic.

@Greengenes707 did an excellent side by side of 600W Apache LED vs 1000W Hortilux HPS, using the same cutting, same air, same ferts etc. The yield was comparable. Those results are a very strong data point in my mind because GG is not bias, just a smart guy looking for results in his jars.

Also worth mentioning, the LED grown weed tested with higher cannabinoids and higher terpenes than the HPS samples. I estimate that Apache LED was in the low-mid 30s in terms of efficiency, so you can extrapolate what a 55% LED will do.

Will >this< Driver work on a vero 10? Or any suggestions, gonna be getting 5 of the 5000k

Thanks
hi! it will not be enough as the recommendation by Bridgelux is to have 350mA minimum. theriotically it will work but not bright. you can chech newark.com for an alternative as they have good search. i will gonna check too.

What a BS you've just written sir. Of course you can drive Vero10 below 350mA - it will be even more efficient.

Yes, they'll work well.

What about my 6 cxaAD's @700ma I flowered with last run...53.6% efficient plus an hlg powering it. You and church are down the list more than you thought...hahah.

The best part was that though there was a 21g loss in flower weight to the hps...but there was 7.62g more total THC under the LED despite less overall weight. So you could potentially extract more oil off the less weight of the led.

And that there was a terpene not even present in the hps buds that showed up in the led side.
