lol, so.. what was the point of distinguishing between 'T' and 'LGB' if you oppose them both?

Why can't a kid understand "the concept of transgender" between the ages of 5-10?

"Sometimes a person is born and they feel like their outside doesn't match their inside, and that's OK. If you feel that way it's nothing to be ashamed of and if you meet somebody that feels that way there's nothing wrong with them"

Why wouldn't a kid be able to understand that?
LOL. I can't understand how your "explanation" even specifically relates to trans people. Sorry, but a real explanation of trans people requires in-depth "between the legs" discussions. And those aren't appropriate for 5-10 year old children.

Why the hell should children be subjected to things they can't possibly understand in the name of trans people who feel compelled to mutilate the body they were born with? That's their business, and more power to them if they can pay for their mutilation ("transformation", to you liberals). Let them do as they wish.

But don't fucking ask my young nephews to try and understand it. That would be a sick thing to do.

giving up on trying to appear to be not a piece of shit, eh murdoch?
Not at all Buck.

I just feel that teaching trans people concepts to 5-10 year old children is a bad idea.

Otherwise, trans people are fine by me. If they want to mutilate their bodies and can pay for it themselves, then why the hell should I object?

Trans people believe that what they feel on the inside doesn't match what's on the outside, that's pretty specific to trans people..

Why do you think you would need to discuss the physical changes that take place with a child 5-10 years old?
Why the hell should children be subjected to things they can't possibly understand?
Idk..

You..

tell..

me..

That would be a sick thing to do.
Lol

Explain this to the kids.
I don't get it..?

What about this clip would be hard/uncomfortable to explain to your kids?

If I had kids, I'd show them this clip, among many others of the animal kingdom and explain what they're doing, why they're doing it, our relationship to them, where they came from, how they got here, where our evolutionary separation is, what that is, why it exists, what happened before, what happened after, why it matters, where we are on the evolutionary ladder, how we came to exist, and on and on and on to unlimited scientific inquiry! Endless questions stem from origins! Sex is the beginning of life, I'd insist my kid knows how life starts.

Kids need to know this stuff. It's our responsibility to teach them, not hide the truth because it makes us personally uncomfortable

But if they can afford to pay a quack doctor to carve up their bodies in an attempt to satisfy a mental disease they have, then who the fuck am I to object? Let them fuck themselves up any way they wish, as long as they can pay for it. It's really none of my fucking business.

I have opinions, but they are worthless. Just like yours. :)

1. you teach children when they ask; at whatever age.

2. conversation is kept age appropriate.

3. the lesson taught is that of acceptance NOT tolerance.

4. most little kids will simply think that the 2 guys (girls) living next door, are brothers (or sisters) unless you teach them different.

citation: mom of 2 well-adjusted, mentally healthy, millenial females..one of which pinned/graduates next weekend from a top florida school with her masters has already been scooped up for advisement position at same top university.

i can assure you , from first hand experience, children dont see it the way adults or young adults do

yes they can understand the concept of mommy and mommy or daddy and daddy but they understand it just as mommy and daddy.

Thats really all they understand, they get that mom and dad are parents, they get that mom and mom , and dad and dad are parents.

why?
because they dont fully understand adult concepts like sexual intercourse at 5 years old.

i can assure you children go oh ok mom and mom
some may be more curious than others if they arent brought up around same sex couples often,
but children naturally are inquisitive about everything. its called lifespan development, if your child doesnt ask why the sky is blue, why mom and dad dont live together, why that family is a different color or why they cant have cookies for breakfast your child has a developmental issue.

it isnt until adult concepts, morals and ethics get into child development until they start thinking its good or bad.

At that age, you are teaching them to tolerate their siblings and the bully at school. Everything else, is still good times and they don't know or care, nor do they need to.

Fuck, let them be kids. Pretty sick shit to try to shove gay or straight down their throats.

Pad,
I think this thread is a good example of what happens when we don't teach tolerance and acceptance to a child.
There are some posters here that seem to have never had that lesson in life.
It's telling that the first thing they feel must be explained is the sexual act,and not the importance of love.

Just look at this outrage!

Trigger warning, Will Robinson.

what history of adversity did those straight students overcome that would compare to what gays have gone through?

or are straights celebrating their pride in centuries of bigotry and persecution towards gays?

“People started getting pushed and notes were left on people’s lockers.”

“I got called a dyke, a faggot,” Johnson said. “They were calling us every horrible name you can think of.

Johnson said some of the students uploaded Bible verses to Instagram and tagged out gay classmates. She also said some students began circulating a “lynch list” of students who had participated in the Day of Silence and that a noose was tied to a flag in one teacher’s classroom.

Speaking on Sunday night, Johnson said she feared returning to school on Monday. “I’m concerned because I don’t think it will settle down because it only seems to be getting worse,” she said.

I get annoyed by people harping on about their sexual orientation all the time

Only today someone I work with was bitching about an argument he was having with his wife.
Me too.

My stance is: Fuck whoever you want, I could not care less. It might even be amusing to hear about it if you are a friend. Don't browbeat me and demand that I celebrate your kinks, and I will reciprocate.

No body is forcing you to celebrate gay pride day.

The whole point is that heterosexuality is constantly on show. To the point where people don't even notice it.
If a straight couple are holding hands you don't have people decrying that their shoving their sexuality down everyone's throats
When same applies to a gay couple then perhaps gay pride marches will dwindle and fade

We have a while before that happens tho
