I fully understand what you are saying, but it's really just how you take the word "testing"

He is running it like he would any other light, just plug it in and see..
The only people who plug it in and see are people who don't know enough about what to look for, check for, and expect. How to critically assess performance and functionality, in relation to the claims made by the manufacturer.

If you're not doing that, you're not testing shit. You're using it. Period. You're performing no service to the community by not being critical and making sure the manufacturer claims are accurate. You're essentially just shilling.

Seriously, I don't understand how you could downplay the importance of knowing EXACTLY what you're drawing from the wall. If you're not willing to test that, don't even make the thread to begin with, you'll be flamed and destroyed by anyone with even a modicum of electronics knowledge.

1g/per would be considered good run with it I imagine. I bet the buds be dense for the power its putting over that area though. Hotbox of COBs:lol:

Well hyroot, now if you say that...I get concerned.....I trust you watching your posts and threads over there years...listen guys, I'm not selling this product!!! I'm only testing it...real deal live..if it sucks, then it will suck and I'll report that it sucks! But yes Ben owns HH and so far he's treated my friend well and he facilitated this. Let's let the product do the work and fail or prevail. Simple. I'm unbias. Let's get a pic of package and lable..View attachment 3539601View attachment 3539602 View attachment 3539603

No disrespect to you or anything. A lot of people on here have been screwed or burned in the past by Ben and his lights. Hopefully he's changed his ways. He cares more now. Also a lot of people on here build their own leds. And know quite a bit. With most shady companies especially the China direct rebranded like groblu, lush, mars, kind, etc... all say proprietary spectrum and refuse to say what parts they use basically because they are lying and want money and don't care about their customers being happy.

I hope this light works out and there's no issues and you have a great grow.

Another thought. Maybe if you run another grow after this. Try removing the lenses. Since the cobs are so close. You might get a bigger spread and may not need that extra intensity . Also with those lenses watch the distance. If those are quality cobs. You'd probably want the light about 2 feet away with lenses.

I have a cob panel the uses lenses. I like them with out the lenses. Soon I'm going to swap out the cobs in there for better ones. There's cree cxa 2035 . Which is crees first cob release a couple years ago I'm going to swap in some cree cxb 3070's.

Good luck and happy growing

Since it's CE certified (European safety ) the parts should be public knowledge. They would have to disclose everything in the safety testing to get the cert. Ce is more loose than UL certs though. So why hide everything @BenSeiDank ? Transparency is everything in this industry.

Thank you hyroot! Love to learn about these more! Il go buy a meter tomorrow and measure the draw. Maybe I should rephrase test to demo?? Idk ! The lens info is good to know too! This is my first time ever using or having an l.e.d. period! Il let the grow do just that..grow and if I get great results...great...if not....then everyone can see, call a fucking nun a cunt throw shit in a baby's mouth and skullfuck mother Teresa! Respectfully of course. But I am very excited!

I respectfully, wholeheartedly disagree. The purpose of someone testing is to accurately represent all aspects of the light, in an unbiased, third party manner. If you refuse to give full specs and information about the product you're supposed to be testing, it will appear as if you're intentionally leaving out or misrepresenting the data. Asking what the actual draw with a kil-a-watt, especially with the listed discrepancy, is not asking for a lot. These are basic things that every person who would consider purchasing should and would like to know. No one is asking him to take it apart and examine the inner workings.
I look at it this way a grower is not a lab enviroment what one persons room is can be totally diferent then the next persons one could have the ultimate of everything an the next grow just your normal intake and exhaust ports thermostatically controlled .. but it does not stop there one guy tests it with a huge yielder and other tests it with a og low end yielder which do you go by ???

I think one of the most important things is the description of what the strain can do per meter Sq ,,
if its 700 watts draw on unit and he pulls the numbers then what
Were people not lab techs yes its great to have someone with tools to check umol or wattage draw but sometimes they do not have it lets just wait n see what comes of it veg 3 - 4 weeks n flip and let her do her thing and if it produces 15 - 17 oz then it is comparible to 600 watt HPS
Personally 2 runs should be done for consistency

I wasn't trying to be rude, hope you didn't take it that way but I was just trying to let you know that we have no idea what to expect from these lights so that's why I firmly said that you need to test its power draw. Only then will you get an idea of what to expect and here's an example.

My Blackstar 240w V2.0 LED draws 170 watts of power even though it is advertised as 240w. My Area 51 RW150 draws 150 watts and is advertised at 150 watts +/- 5 watts.

No worries no hard feelings, I'm completely open to everyone's point of view, I just need to see it through!..I'm interested in all that everyone has brought up and will do my best to cover every single base.

No offence to anyone but "test results" can be all over the place for honest or dishonest reasons.

Public disclosure of output and efficiency is 10x more valuable (to me) than any demo grow.

OTOH, a nice demo grow with big healthy plants is probably 10x more valuable in advertisement, truth be damned or not.

Tomy Trichrome!!!!
Anybody remember a post that started like this....
Hi there,
Tommy Trichrome here, first time forum poster, but long time reader. By chance I came accross the Suncloak vertical LED lighting system as it was being developed in the same building in which I was employed. I have been amazed by the results and felt it neceassary share what I have learned. I have been in the cannabis industry for a while now

It was moved to advertising before being eventually deleted. It was eerily similar...

If you can't accurately measure wattage draw, you've got no business packaging and selling a lamp. If you can, and are listing incorrect numbers, then you're trying to pull the wool over the consumer's eyes. A Kill-a-watt to check the wattage is only a few bucks at the store, and if someone gave you something to "test", that's your basic due diligence. Anyone who chooses not to do that simple thing, when we've got a clear listed discrepancy, in my opinion, knows something isn't right. 10 60W chips would be 600W, assuming you're driving them really hard. So, where is 700W coming from? Is there that much phantom draw? That's worth knowing.

As far as bud quality, not really doubting that they can grow good herb. A lot of things can grow great herb. It's a matter of accurately representing the product.

Hey guys! I'm new here but am greatly interested in how this light works out. I've been eying this light & others by this company for awhile. Thing is, through many attempts to contact them, when I finally did, they were very secretive of all tech. Info. Even PAR readings would not be given. No return messages or calls to my questions after that. So, they seem great through reading up on them via the web-site but can't get any customer service & can't find anyone that can say for sure whether these are good lights aside from the poor customer service. BTW, are you guys sure those aren't 100 watt diodes running @ 75%? Don't think it's stated 60 watt COBS anywhere?... These lights are allot of light for the money if they are what they claim to be.
Guess we're about to find out. I'm here for the ride. Glad someone's running a grow journal with this light.

Been awhile. How's it going? Just bought an Amare-450 & a Hydroponics Hut X5-500 to run a comparison. I was glad to see this thread in Dec. to see how the HH light works out but no follow up. I'm interested to hear what you have to say. My X5-500 came in with the screws loose & a moving heat sink & fan so I sent it back. Waiting on a new one now. Do you like this 750?
