Hand held electric trimmer

Don't know about you but I hate trimming. Especially if you do it a lot, like in a small perpetual grow-op. I trim about 40 plants every 2 to 3 weeks and my g/f and I have spent 6-8 hours at a time trimming. So I came up with a hand held electric trimmerthat does almost if not just as good as hand trimmers.

Went to Harbor Freight and got an electric rotary tool. Its like a dremel tool but this one only cost 9 bucks with a 50% off coupon. I took the barrel sanding attachment and removed the compression washer and the round barrel sander. Then I place a small piece weed eater line on top of the compression grommet and replaced and tightened the compression washer.

This has now cut my trimming time down by 75%...My g/f takes the larger fan leaves off and tosses me the bud and I start trimming. But you do need to wear some sort of eye protection though, I didn't at first then a small fragment of plant matter went in my eye and it burns like a mofo

It takes a cpl min to get used to and then you can trim like a sculptor

That's pretty cool tat, you should've patented it. I was actually thinking of dropping $500 on the bonsai hero. Seems legit but hefty price tag. I also hate trimming. Fun at first but gets old real quick.

This definitely sounds like a great DIY thing that most people can do themselves, will definitely have to try it out in my upcoming indoor grow area, although I am not sure i'll get it working as well as you do i'm sure it will save me a lot of time anyways. Thanks for sharing, :)

Man I love you! I sat there trimming the other day thinking for hours. What can I do. Something that spins and has the strength to cut. Shit you killed it with the idea. Probably not epic but my recent dremel trim job was the cleanest yet. I always go back a few days later and wonder how I missed so many leaves. But with this it's perfect!! I also did just under 2 lbs in 4.5 and was easy as pie.

Still waiting to see some finished bud from this.
I think it works best for dry trimming. I had a few wet leaves and they didn't come off easy with the tool. Once they are dry dry just a touch with the line and they fly right off. The buds themselves are much harder than the leaves so after a few minute learning curve there is very little bud damage at all. It's fast and takes a little to get used to. The only thing that sucks about it is you get covered! I was a sticky mess. Oh and my hands are dirty from work not trimming. I actually think it's permanent image.jpeg

Yeah if your blasting the buds you'll lose trics. I just touched the leaves and they cut clean. Auto trimmers do blow. They ruin good weed, this is different. the machine doesn't handle the buds unless you touch them.
