Yeah i here ya. Lately i been pulling about 2 even with Gavita 6/750 flex lamps on the 750 setting. I dont crank it to the 800 setting. Low basemnet ceiling and they dont like it. Back in tje day I could hit 2+ with 1000 watter singel ended but not all the time and with no glass. Now with double ended Gavita its standard and iam using less electricity and work to do it. But of course mini split a.c. is mandatory for me with the Gavitas. So it is only slightly cheaper but the work in canopy management and ant count and all that stress with the old scholl single ended lamps to hit weight is practically none.

So you are pulling 0.907 gpw? That's good.
Yeah it is...real good with single ended 1000 hps. I assume your not air cooling the hoods with glass and fans to hit them weights? Cooling the bulb and glass EATS lumens and i could never hit 2.5 with air cooled hoods.

Holy shit. I just calculated it out for the first time, cuz that didn't sound right. It's actually 1.7 grams per watt. Never worked it out before.

Fuck. That can't be right, can it? Now way. Let me do this again....

OK, yeah, 1.12. That's a lot more reasonable.

Actually, on one of them I do have glass on the light, because of the way my filter is set up. I get better heat control sucking through the light fixture, although I'm thinking of reconfiguring that one now that we're heading into cooler months. The other is a bare bulb, but I don't notice a significant difference in yield.

I do keep the glass sparkling clean and replace the bulb every other run, which I think helps.

I guess I'm surprised, considering how much you clearly know about growing. I would never have thought I'm pulling heavier weights than you. I guess it's just luck on my part, and good strains maybe.

I never really thought much about it. I guess I just figured most good growers are going to be in that range most of the time. I don't put a lot of stock in yield, because I just know that at the end of every run, however much happens to be there is going to be enough. I like to guess at it every run, and then I get a kick out of seeing how close my guess is.

I keep telling my wife, "One of these days, we're gonna hit 3 pounds. One of these days. I'm telling ya." I feel like some old man waving his cane or something. I want to do it once just for the sake of doing it, but if I never do, it's all good. Production is somewhat important because money is part of the reason we do it, but what matters most is premium quality. We're trying to isolate premium medical strains. I just want to grow the best weed, the kind that when people smoke it they talk about it whenever they're telling stories. I just want to know that people who buy my stuff think they got the best they could get; then I know I did my job.

If you want to grow really top shelf cannabis....try growing any of the Sin City Seeds original offerings....especially any thing with Blue Power in it. I got about 15 of em outside and i shit you not...it is some if the best marijuana ive ever grown....indoors or out. And ive grown alot of weed in 25 years.

That's really good to know, and I'm going to take note of that. What's the finish, and how does it bud up for lollipop grows? I'm always on the hunt for higher CBD strains; how does it measure up there?

Iam not too hip on cbd strains. Dont know much about them but i do knw scs seeds has released a couple strains with the high cbd grower in mind. I think a couple have that Harlequin in it which i know nothing about. But finish times on Blue Power based gear is around 50 to 63 days. Indica based gear. Kinda on the smaller yield side is its only drawback but isnt that a common theme with really top shelf cannabis. They also have a White Nightmare line that has Blue Dream and White Moonshine in it that will give up HUGE yields. Its more sativa dominant with (in my opinion) a better high than Dream. Try them out bro if you can find a retailer. I got some outside rite now and they look like indoor grown cannabis. Especially my Blue Petrols.

Just wondering What everybody is feeding. I was feeding 14ml per gal. Of A & B.... Foralicious plus 2.5ml..... Liquid koolbloom 5ml ...... Terpinator 5ml..... I only feed till 10% run off and feed feed feed.... Comments welcome.

hey fellow coco growers I'm back again just as an update PK boost work great buds filled out amazingly just wondering this is my first time going completely on my own for harvest if I could get some insight I have some pictures maybe someone can help me out and give me an idea of when to start the flush I understand some of what to look for pistols about 50% changes color and and curled in also for the try combs to be a mushroom shape milky white with some Amber possibly mixed in depending on time of harvest my plants are healthy af running the full Canna line and trepinator with earth juice calmag I use RO DI water I am on ~ day 40 will be starting to start back of the nutes in a few days I have been using cannas chart a a reference (not directly) I'm feeding every day with 3/4 gallon to each 5 gallon pot till I get about 30-50% runoff my ppm going in is ~1200 ( I know that's high but I have never had any nutrient burn or discoloration) runoff is hard to judge due to build up of evaporated nutes In my flood table but comes in about 13-1400 my ph the whole grow has been 5.6-6.1 and run off is about the same give or take a few points it looks to me to be a lil more than two weeks out from harvest to me maybe here's some pics from today

Ok, this grow I am sticking with Canna all the way.
Need some advice please!
Little history first, this last grow was 5 plants - 2 gal smart pots, vertical around a 400W HPS.
Bought Canna A&B but had about a gallon of both GH Micro and Bloom so decided to use that instead. Running Blumats to with coco. Last grow or better yet this grow, I ended up switching to Canna at about 4 to 5 weeks into 12/12 due to very bad Clawing, I had been running the rez at 600 ppm with a high of 725 and a low of 550 ppm. pH 5.8 to 6.1. Not sure what caused the claw but decided to switch to A&B, and the plants are now happy, of course it is time to harvest and damn they lost alot of weight before they recovered.

What I am wanting to know is do you use the Canna feeding chart for your rez mix, is it not to high at the recommended rate? I use cannazym but not their Rizo product, or their pk13/14 (think that is what it is called). I use Cannazym, liquid Koolbloom at week 3/4, and dry KoolBloom at weeks 5 and 6. Any thoughts on this?

Just want to get this one right. Will be lucky of get 50% of anticipated yield.

The Canna light feed calculator/chart is PERFECT in my opinion. And there are cheaper alternatives to the additives they want you to buy. I think Cannazym is completely unnecessary first off. And a good very inexpensive alternative to Rhizotonic is Genereral Organics BioRoot and/or BioWeed. Both together (lightly) is jist as good as Rhizo at a far cheaper price. And for P/K Boost...well cmon. Its just monopotassium phosphate. A good replacement for that is Ionic Boost 0-5-6. Cheap in price. And save your wallet with Canna Boost.....that shit doesnt really do much considering its cost. Hell...to be honest...i dont see much of a difference using the base Canna Coco on its own. I foliar spray a kelp extract with a fulvic weekly in veg and early flower...that has gave me by far the most noticeable difference as far as additives go. Canna Coco is a good base. Just as good as the other brands i suppose. Cocotek...House and Garden...Sensi Coco...GH 6/9...CNS 17...Botanicare Kind...there are a bunch. And if used correctly...they all give near identical results.

I began using the calculator when I switched to Canna nutes, but I got all kinds of crazy numbers, and I found the problem. I was using straight RO water and when I was finely able to talk to someone at Canna USA he said I should be using tap water. Laughed and told him the tap water numbers, 775 to 825 ppm, he said wow bad water. He suggested that I add enough of my tap to the RO to get the ppm to around 120 ppm. Well about 3 cups per gallon of RO equaled 120 ppm and then added the nutes. The plants are ok for all the bull shit I put them through.

Thanks for all the info I will copy this and refer back to it as needed.

Canna and many others assume your start water is 100 to 200 ppm (500 scale) and largely comprised of calcium and magnesium carbonate. This is near perfect start water. Mine is 110 ppm out the tap. I do bump it up with a cal mag product slightly to about 160 - 170 ish. Then i add Europonic Silicate at 1.5 ml. per gallon. Then i add base to around 650 to 800 depending on stage of plant development. Ive used boosters and other additives here and there...but all you need really is a complete base hydroponic fertilizer. I like mu silicate though. And Europonic Fossil Fuel humic i add a 2 tsp per gallon pretty regularly. And i like BioRoot in early veg. Along with weekly Nitrozime/Fossil Fuel/Humnoldt Sticky foliar sprays. This will get it done for me. Simple.

hey guys been running the full line of Canna nutes for my first grow on my own from seed to harvest I'm pretty pumped on the results i run canna A, B, rizo, cannazyme, pk13/14, boost also recommended by canna terpanator and earth juice calmag since i have shitty tap water i'm using ro i'm approximately five days out from chop May be a week at most right now i'm on the final week of the canna schedule which is boost and cannazyme will run it for a few more than final finish and flushing for ~3 days until trichomes are ready DEFINITELY USE LIGHT FEEDING UNTILL YOU KNOW YOUR STRAIN use more as a guide line go by what your plants are telling you but since this is my first complete grow by myself I definitely overfed didn't notice any nute burn till the last few weeks of flower (about 1200ppm at full strength)and temps were pretty low at night so some heat stress happened last few days also have learned from my mistakes next one definitely going to hope to produce more READ CANNAS SITE BEFORE JUMPING RIGHT IN THEY GIVE A LOt OF GOOD INFORMATION anyway here's a few pics from today can't wait for chop time

400watt mh veg/hps flower
4x4 tent

Hey. Im currently on day 27 of flower. Ive bin adding
20ml of rhizotonic
25ml of canna coco part A
25ml of canna coco part b
20ml of canna boost
5ml of calmag
4ml of silicon
To 10 litre of tap water and ppm was around 780
I was wondering when will be the best point for me to use pk13/14 and how much. I know every plant is different so ive added a pic of the plants from yesterday. Do you think they are ready for pk13/14 or shall i add a small amount and build up and stop 3 weeks before harvest?
