Critical kush harvest

Hi. First time grower. I'm growing a strain of critical kush, I believe. I think it's ready to harvest, but not exactly sure. It's an outdoor grow. Probably started flowering 6 weeks or so ago. Looks really good. It's pistils are starting to degrade. But the tricomes are mostly white/cloudy. I see like no amber trichomes. Is it normal for the kush strain trichomes not to turn an amber color? I quit giving it nutes about 10 days ago. The leaves are starting to yellow. More and more each day. Should I wait for amber trichomes? Or take it?

Thanks. I'll send a pic when daylight comes. Could be flowering way longer. If you count from the first sign of a flower, I'd say 2 plus months. I am a super amateur. Should the trichomes change to amber? Or do some strains not change?

Don't worry about trichs for now. The plant will tell us pretty close to when she'll be ready.

I'm thinking about 3-4 weeks left for my early skunk.. Yours definitely needs at least 3 weeks I would say.

Here's mine

All the pistils are white on mine, I don't mean to be presumptuous but are you thinking the hairs(pistils) are the trichromes? As the trich's are the the crystals not the hairs . Good luck to you and hold out its always worth it.

My pistils are curling up on the ends. But still mostly white. Trichomes are all cloudy. Don't really see any clear. So I guess I'll let'er go.

As already mentioned, you still have a long way to go, probably 4 weeks or more. You'll probably be forced to harvest early due to weather, are you getting rain or cold weather?

Are these pics all of one plant or do you have more than one?
When did you plant? From seed or from a clone?
When did you first see buds forming?
Where are you? No. Cal? So Cal? Not too specific, no addresses please...

Wow. Four weeks seems long. 1 plant. I didn't keep a journal, but this is what I recollect. Germinated seed early May probably. First flowers ,I'd say early August . No rain and not cold yet. Southeast, US. I think.

The clearest clue is the long white pistils, even if they are getting some color changes at the tips. They'll need 2 - 3 more weeks to recede and even then, more white hairs may come out.

That's a pretty small pot it's in and when your plant or bud development is progressing slowly, something's stunting it's growth. You did say it didn't start to bud until early/mid August which is pretty late. Have you ever used any CaMag products? What nutes were you using?

I agree with the pot size. Bigger the pot the bigger the plant. It's probably root bound and it can't uptake any nutes.

I`d of kept feeding that longer, then cut down to just K for a week or so to finish

what dirt is it in ? also what`s all that hay ontop of the soil ?

Looks like she needed a better root zone, I mean well done you have some nice bud there but looks for sure like with some tuning you could do way better next time
