Welcome!
I have been thinking about starting a thread for my grow for awhile now so here we go.
This is a perpetual grow so I kind of didn't know where to start. I guess I'll list the specs and then jump right in.

Flower Room

Room - 13' 6" l x 8' 6"w x 9'h single car garage concrete floor slightly sloped

Lights - 2 1000 watt Eye Hortilux HPS bare bulb's hanging vertically

Light Mover - Lightrail 5.0 commercial mover

Intake - 8" centrifugal fan with filter

Exhaust - 8"centrifugal fan on a 4' tall carbon filter

Co2 - Gen1 4 burner co2 generator

Controller - Sentinel CHHC-4

Cooling - 12,000btu dual hose in room portable, 5,000btu window unit

Humidifier - Honeywell $50 humidifier with replaceable filter

Air Circulation - 4 box fans

Backdraft dampers on all hoses

I finished building this room end of spring and ran it all summer with no c02 or ac. Well, I used ac for lights off but not lights on.

In september I started using the co2 at 1300ppm. Room temp is 68f lights off, 86-87.5 lights on. Relative humidity is 50% lights off 60% light on.
I use the dual hose ac only for lights off and the window ac only for lights on.
Light mover moves about 2'. plants are about 14" away from the bulbs give or take a couple inches.

I'll try to answer any questions anyone has. I'll do the veg room next.:peace::leaf:

What's that growing?
Have you been growing long before this room?
Center of first pic is a Dinachem with a little tomato plant next to it.
I have been growing for about 8 years now. I went vertical a couple years ago. I tried big cages around the bulb, but that didn't work like I thought it would.
Now I just grow them free standing and rotate them everyday.

Here's my Blue Venom from G13 labs feminized. It was flowered in ROLS in a 3 gallon pot. It went for 9.5 weeks and is a true hermaphrodite. This is the second one I've grown and both threw out about 6 or 8 male flowers I cut out long before they dropped pollen, yet I still had some lower popcorn buds with a few seeds. None of my other plants had any seeds.

Dinachem clone headed for a 1g pot of ROLS with a sprinkle of Oregonism in the hole and a sprinkle of fresh worm castings on top of the soil.
Clone stem was rolled in Clonex gel and rooted in a solo cup of tap water in my shop 4' away from a flourescent shop light.
I think it took about 2 weeks and I changed the water twice.

Here's a better picture of the ring of plants at lights off.
From bottom left going clockwise is Dinachem20g, Critical Jack Herrer 20g, CJH 3g , Raspberry Diesel & Blueberry Gum 5g, Dinachem 5g, Amnesia Haze 20g, Raspberry Diesel 20g
All in ROLS that has been recycled many times at this point. These plants are top dressed with a few tablespoons of Uprising bloom, kelp meal, and dried molasses followed by 8 cups of fresh very alive worm castings

I recently re-checked a vapor pressure deficit chart and noticed that at 87f my relative humidity should be 75%. So I got this ultrasonic humidifier. It works great and now the flower room humidity is 70-75% rh with occasional dips down to 65%rh when the ac runs.20161112_163202.jpg

I woild reccomend this humidifier, but be aware it requires daily maintennance.

Digging the vert light. Do you rotate the plants? How often?

Yes I rotate them 180 every day, great for inspecting them 100% every day if needed. Another member here mentioned this and that is where I learned it but I cant find that post again, I spent several hours re-reading trying to find it. I wish I could thank that person!
I've always wanted to give vert lighting a shot but I'm a little unsure of the best way to make it work with higher plant numbers. And now im setting up giant pots I'm setting up like raised beds for no til that I won't be able to rotate. I might try to weasel a vert light in between all of the beds tho as some additional lighting.

Ok I'm a bit confused now - so here you have this ring-a-rosies of plants, and there you have a light rail.... I'm imagining the light going back and forth but the plants are in a circle? Or is the rail circular?! o_O Please help LOL

Haha and yeah, that tomato brings back memories of monsters in my past too...! Love em :bigjoint:

You're asking the same questions I have, lol

Good looking plants, nice to see what you've been up to, @CaptainCAVEMAN

Having done the vertical thing myself for a minute or two now, maybe I can help you. And then you can help me figure out ROLS!

The light rail is a 5.0 commercial mover so it has an 8' long cross bar. The bar is attatched perpindicular to the rail in the middle of the bar and moves the whole 8' bar back and forth along the rail. The lights hang from the bar about 6' apart right now. I have the bar set to move only about 2'. Pics in first post might help. I'll take some better ones when the room is on.

The plants sit in a ring around the bulbs. Actually 2 rings, 1 around each bulb. 2 plants get the prime middle spot and have a 1000 watt bulb on either side of them moving back and forth. I guess its more of an oval of plants than a ring, but oval of fire didn't sound as cool!

Hope this helps. I'll post better pis later.
