Naw it's cool lol, some people think mad dog - Happy New Year!
MD
I thought it was an abbreviation of a strain name.

Happy New year to you and yours too! Got any special goodies for tonight? Mrs Med Grower made wonderful coconut oil out of my best buds trim I have been saving.

A rec/ medical salad to float into the new year without pain and stress.

Yes actually we are blessed with our Medables Oil and with that the Wifey made us bluberry muffins for breakfasts, and we are doing a medicated stir fry tonight with chicken and rice yummy. Plus the holiday harvest of Fireballs, Psycho Killer, Plemon and the Neon Creeps so 2017 is starting right. I am not sure if there is a party or not we will go to, I wanted to announce the first round of winners at Midnight tonight, so probably i not so quiet night at home maybe.
I have 2 Skunk Wrecked Widows girls that need a new home soon would you and the misses be interested in growing them, no charge.

Thank you for the generous offer but I have a full plant count maintained and a no outside plant or cutting rule I have not broken yet.

My garden needs some hours of attention tonight. But we may go out to the bar out in the woods for a "black light" New Years thing. Small town here. The Mrs family actually owned the bar at one time. So it's always a nice familiar setting. With family style perks.

I have been grounded here for a long time. I could use some fun.

No problem I totally understand, you should have some fun i have been having nothing but fun for weeks now and loving it. Thats it from now on for us and our crews from here on out, we get the work done but its always family fun first. MD

We harvested the lower half of the first plant we tried the double harvest technique on tonight.

Seems it is the lesser penatration of the 315 LEC that left the lowers underdone. We have not had that problem under the 600's.

So I am going to rotate the plants as they go through stretch and bloom as equally as possible now. Maybe keeping the benefits I am seeing and feeling from the lamp.

Here she is when we put her back under the HPS

And here she was tonight.

I have had consistent excellent results from 100's of seeds planted now.

Pete the breeder does not speak good English as he is French and now operates from Spain so communication can be a bit awkward but I ended up using his genetics because he is the only breeder out of maybe 50 I emailed as a newbie that was helpful and he always answered quickly every time. Pete basically tought me how to grow well.

And I was looking for a classic breeder with famous California genetics. In search of old school sweet flowery skunk weed like the 80's at the time. He had a limited strain called blue skunk that was easy to grow and delicious. I got that and the Jack to start.

I got great results from the start of his seeds.

I do caution. The Sativa Heavy hybrids can be easy to over feed and when stressed may grow male stamen like any hybrid. But I only have maybe 20 seeds total from all these plants I grew and no cross pollination in my perpetual multi stage flower room.

The Mota stuff if grown long like I like (Pete advertises 8-9 weeks) I go up to 12. Will definitely show bananas. But all chem derived crosses that are potent seem to and the Thai side is funny like that and if you get good expression out of them you may see buds on leaves and other tropical anomalies.

The highs and flavors Pete has crafted are better than the originals even. He has ms so he needs strong meds and he is an old trip head like me so the weed is super heady and now that I grow well pretty trippy too.

Send him an email with questions. He will definitely respond. He is working on other projects and is not producing new fem packs right now as far as I know. He is not a fan of our seed market and has chosen not to keep marketing. The seed banks I believe don't have his stuff anymore. They all did 4 years ago.

He also has history in the 90's in Mendocino California with the original medical grows there and has been featured in Ed Rosenthal's big book of buds with a bunch of strains with the famous classic breeders strains.

He is relatively unknown because he is a bit strange and hard to understand and is honest. Funny how honesty can hurt you in business.

Hope that helped chemphlem.

I am comparing some popular fire now. I have real blue dream from s-1 seed. Deadhead OG and Dinachem growing for comparison now.

I am not a fanboy. I think he may have the best genetics left.

Hey @chemphlegm do you have any experience with this plant?

Dinachem

She is a big strong beautiful girl and the company says its from the original chem.

I got the seed in a trade. I did not clone her and wondering if I should cut one to re-veg as it is my only seed.

I figured when I planted it that I could buy a pack still. I usually always plant new seeds as I love the variety and good genetics don't require "clone only". But lately I have kept a real nice BLT short pheno and a really nice Citral POW 33.

With Petes seeds I have averaged over a qp per for quite some time. And of course some plants shine but they all were very good. The last Black widow cross did almost a half a pound of really potent lemony tasting stuff.

I can't keep too many because of plant count. We are allowed 24 between Mrs. Med Grower and me. And we tend to have 22 going just for filling the 10 or 12 continual flowering plants with ready veg plants.

Thank you for the reminder that I might regret not keeping the chem. :-)

month after month, I'm loving these chemdogs. but, I cant help myself from going back to the 818 Headband(caliconnect) as one of the top 3 thusfar. It ticks alot of the boxes, effects, growth pattern, yield, health, smell, uniqueness. I put my second emdog to flower yesterday, she gets two more trials.

I believe the Deadhead OG I have in veg is from that company. I have tried the 818 but not grown it myself. It was my favorite from the dispensaries here a few years ago. It's what eventually got me into these Diesel hybrids. But the Thai too. You got to try one of these. Potent full body and head high but the trippy like LSD element it has is missing from most modern strains. It has been traded for frosty looking leaves it seems.

Petes old stuff had some serious plants in the background. Greenbud is Sensei Ed Rosenthal Superbud hybrid. And those 10 packs from Sensei cost $250. It is their top of the line sativa cross.

And Flower I believe is the original CH9 Hybrid from California in the 90's and has real Yumbolt in it.

The plant I wish I had kept over all was a Ch9 Yumbolt x Vintage 2006. It was so woody and delicious tasting it could replace tobacco for a smoker and had a truly dreamy full high.

But it really may be that I was just getting better at this and that plant stood out at the time.

Babble over. Peace Bud.
