Ik it's a lot of work and I don't want to take time out of people's day ! But if someone had a list of everything I needed with links I could buy this all right now and get it over with haha
That's why I tagged them, all 3 of them sell cob parts or kits. And are much more knowledgeable on the technical aspects than me. I can only tell you that cobs are great lights

No problem buddy, happy to help. I really believe led/cobs are where the industry will eventually be. I recommend these guys every chance I get. I want to see them emerge into thriveing companies, who can outlast the blurple sellers

Hey everyone so I have about $300 to spend on a new grow light I was wondering if The VIPARSPECTRA 900 watt LED would outperform A 200 Watt Watt cob LED? I can get the Amazon grow light for $300 or I can get the 200 Watt Watt Cobb LED through timber grow lights for 350 what would you guys do?
I used to own two ViparSpectra V450s. One 89w COB blew both of them away.

Do you think the 200 watt would yield a pound in a 3x3 or 4x4 ? Or should I save up a little bit more money and get the 400 watt version ? How much would it cost you guys to build a 400 watt cob setup ? I can get a timber for like 550? I would love to yield a pound every three months ?
i have seen 250 watts of cobs ( 5 cree cxa3070's) yield 1 pound in captains 3x3 tent,,, with pictures the whole way
cobs will outperform those blurples all day long

If your a newbie and looking to experiment with LED then imo viparspectra is one of the best chinese imports on amazon/ebay, slightly above marshydro but bellow brands such as Budmaster and PlatinumLED.

If you already have exp and are looking to maximize your grow then the current consensus is COB's blow blurples out the water.

I already know @Tim Fox is sick of seeing my orange buckets, but I'll make this comparison as small as I can.

This is 206w of ViparSpectra V450:

This is 241w of COB 6 weeks 4 days in, 3 weeks 3 days left:

Unless you know your stuff and really wannna optimize then COB is deffo the way to go but please please please dont be blinded by the hate viparspectra gets from people at times, for the price they are its really not that bad a piece of equipment.

I have seen allot of people grow some nice bud under blurple lights,,, and many of us have purchased them before,,
but most of us end up making funny videos with them after we up grade,, i saw one guy use his old blurple in his office for house plants,, lol,,
my old mars panel is out in the barn collecting dust,,

As a first timer I did like 3 weeks reading before I purchased my first light, went with the 450W vipar and love it have since added a 250w and 600w HPS to my grows and although there is a big difference between current china LEDs and HID I still feel a few of those companies are shifting half decent knockoffs of much more expensive gear.
