So i noticed some spots as i was triming. Will pm spread in a jar?.. fck i should at least kill it first. Maybe with h202.? Don't want to use heat . What to do? Can i cure this weed?

I got some private reserve that got pm on half the bud and i heated it for about 2 hours on 101 and one hour on 120 its a smokable and curable dry so i wraped it up and put it in the fridge; not sure if i should put it back in oven or try to cure. I have 2 batches 1 pr with pm on it and some other buds with verry little pm.

Everyone says don't smoke it but its not toxic. After looking it up it seems like allergies and ruined flavors would be the only problems. I am allergic to some black mildew and sensitive to others but the baked weed with only a trace of pm got me baked even had a little flavor. And the weed i always put on top of the light to dry in 2, 3 days tasted only slightly more harsh then normal and the high is no headache lungs clear after a little longer but it was sorta wet.
I think its not a total loss at this point i can kill the traces. Its not so bad its trash its still better then pressed sess so 50% fail.

Cut up everything affected, make an ISO extract, pre filter the iso extract through a coffee filter and filter the fluid through a 0.45 micron filter like this: https://www.amazon.com/Syringe-Filter-PVDF-diameter-0-45um/dp/B005T45CFA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484016715&sr=8-1&keywords=0.45+filter

Spores range from 1-40 microns in size. 0.45 micron filters will remove the spores from suspension. You will now have clean, basically sterile iso extract. Smile and be thankful you could salvage something! Or smoke the mildew like a 'Merican

What kind of syringes would work with that? They are not universal right?
Oh is it 25 mm and thats the standard? Luer slip or lock both work?

A luer slip may pop off, you'll want the threaded lock. 25 mm is the diameter of the filter material, not porosity. The large the diameter, the better the flow through the filter ( especially after some use) as it will be more resistant to clogging. Volume of the syringe shouldn't matter but bigger will let you do it in a more timely manner

  1. Thanks this is a great invention :eyesmoke:
  2. Don't know why its numbering here
  3. Do you filter it out or as you draw in?
  4. Does it take long with alot of resistance to push or pullbongsmilie

They also sell 0.22 micron filters, pharma uses them in drug sterile filling operations , more expensive and easier to clog but may be worth it if you don't trust the science

Pull into the syringe, attach the filter, push through the filter and collect, remove filter and repeat... There shouldn't be too much resistance with a .45, just go slow

I just looked it up its 125 and 100 mesh is 149 and 140 mesh is 105 microns
So these filters are less then a micron.?
Yes, the filters I linked are less than 1 micron, actually less than half a micron. They are used for removing bacteria and yeast/mold from liquid suspension by laboratories in the med device and pharma industries. Call it professional intuition but they work

how many uses should i get with each filter.?? i got 5 filters for 40 grams green in 16-32 oz of iso. will post results or notes.
quit smoking the pm green after i started geting a smokers cough. got a batch with no pm, can now be sure how to tell if weed was affected w\ pm.. have had it once in a blue moon
