Three days ago we made up our first batch of cannabis salve for pain. We are having fun letting friends and relatives find out how well cannabis kills pain in just ten to fifteen minutes.

Easy to make = Takes 18 hours to finish in a slow cooker.

Ingredients:
8 ounces of Island Sweet Skunk
2 ounces of Cherry Wine (15-20% CBD, no THC)
Bees wax
Shea butter
Vitamin E - preservative
Lavender oil
menthol oil

Yield = 6 jars of C Salve
Super concentrated - a little dab will do the job!

Dmso if your not against

It's good shit

As to op. What I just said but with unrefined sunflower oil is amazing. As far as chem and physical properties, one being its vitamin e content.
There are essential oils you can add as well

For what sorts of pain have you found this to be effective?

I've been trying it out on friends and relatives:

Mom age 85: Four different pain sites from old surgeries and a fall. She's had this pain for years... moderate/severe pain
Father in law 85: Stiff neck of past 2 years
My wife: Jacked up knee from stair fall, arthritis in fingers
Neighbors: various aches and pains
Myself: Old jacked up sports injury in knee, neck pain and stiffness from bad car accident - moderate to severe pain, arthritis in hands

Next cannabis won't be harvest untill I get at least 40% amber trichomes - this batch of herb was cut with solid white trichomes...

I like it.

I'll chime in on a few questions. Yes coconut oil works great for a salve. Hot pepper added during cooking will make a great arthritis or muscle cream.

Yes and no on the decarb. If eating I would. Strictly for salve I prefer non decarb for pain relief.
Then it is for eating ;)

Any psychological effects from a topical salve? I'd like to have my grandfather try some, but there can't be any "high".
Your body will absorb it transdermally. I'd think it wld take a lot to get high, mainly one ends up relaxed or groggy at most. When I use a bunch of decarbed salve, I pass out like a medible high and feel it some in my system the next day; It's more physical than mental. Maybe try making it without applying heat and just let what you're extracting it with evaporate.

Sounds great. How do you go about smoking this salve?
Really though...has anyone tried this?

Sorry if its a silly question but I've stuck to dry herb most of my life and am only just trying out edibles, tinctures, etc. in the last year.

I have a jar of salve from cannalife and I've used quite a bit with little to no effect and was thinking maybe I'd use it for dabbing...not sure if the ingredients are safe to smoke though...

Extra virgin olive oil (Olea europaea), Expeller-pressed organic coconut oil (Cocos nucifera), Cannabis Sativa, Calendula blossoms (Calendula officinalis), St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum), Lavender flower (Lavandula officinalis), Chamomile flower (Matricaria recutita), Beeswax, Vitamin E, Rosemary extract (Rosmarinus officinalis)

Anyone ever tried?
