Sun Cloak Multi-Strain

Wanted to correct something. I had previously stated that the Cloak uses Cree diodes. That is wrong. My mistake. They are actually custom made specifically for SunCloak. Cree doesn't have aluminum backing, they use ceramic which Does not work as well for the thermal conductivity to aluminum.
That & i guess it's hard to get these diodes in 70 CRI, which has more total output then the stock 80 CRI most comp./distributors provide.
This is how they were able to make their own original custom 22k 70 CRI diodes.
Which BTW, they are now switching to 27k based on my suggestion & running side by side testing in which showed the 27k to outperform the 22k by 20%.
The diodes are ran soft @ 20% of their total capacity, (which would make them 80% efficient I believe) are custom & cost twice as much as Crees.
So, just wanted to correct that for y'all & provide accurate info.

That does not make them close to 80% efficient. Show the numbers before even posting that. Good to see that they are taking hints as to what people want though.

In parentheses says "I believe". Isn't that pretty much how it works when referring to white phosphor coated diodes/cobs?
Maybe I'm wrong.

No that's not how that works, it goes at a curve not a set value and it's different for ever cob so it's important to test and verify.. Especially if it was close to that percentage. I would guess that would be around 63%-65% at best

My new 27k is getting around 170 lm/w. I know that. Not sure how to test more to verify #'s. Just doing my best to get the info I know out there on this system.
The owner answers all my questions & I try to relay them to the forum for a better understanding.
This system was made fun of & highly underrated when it first came out when another member (Tommy Trichlone) tried to do a journal. He was basically hated out of here.
Just glad I get to share how it really works.

nothing wrong with 60% eff if thats what the cloaks are.cloak plants lookin good man.
Thanks brogham!
I'll try to get some pics up this wknd. Pretty stacked in there. Gotta plant tie everything to itself to prevent major toppling. Thinking next time I'll go w/ Tomatoe cages.
Frosty goodness under those 4k Horizons though.

But a 48 w 3070 (less then 1/2 power) is 52% running off a MeanWell, correct?

Its not the best way to tell but I have 197.14 Lumens per watt and Im at 61% Efficient.

This is a single cob at 38W is 54% so no your numbers will not be close

Update, day 44.
Wish i could show all the plant in the back. It's crazy. These photos only show the front plants.
Kings: image.jpg image.jpg
Sensi-Star in the front took a beating on Microbe Nute. The SFV-OG In the back is a bueatiful beast. Sensi is frosted like crazy on the bud. image.jpg
SFV-OG in the front. Nice Chem-D#4 in the back. image.jpg
Snow Dawg leaves died from the Nute. Trimmed them off. Bubba Kush in the back fell over Kindve n can't see it much. Nice buds though. image.jpg
