Whats shakin, Blades

Figured Id make a grow journal for my current 7000w medical garden from start to finish, for anyone thats interested in following along on the journey.

We'll start with the basics. its 7000w of hps, batwing shades, digi 1000w balasts. 12" inline exhaust fan hooked up to a can 150 carbon filter, run by a thermostat and humidistat. Got a 10" inline fan bringing fresh airinto the room, also hooked up to the thermostat and humidistat. so when it gets above 78 degrees the fans both kick on and the 12" fan scrubs and exhausts out, and the 10" fan brings fresh air in until the room is back between 75-78 degrees. The humidistat is a back up incase the humidifier shits the bed and fails. If it gets too humid the fans kick on and cycle the room air until its all groovy again.during weeks 2 of flower through harvest, I'll have a can filter 100 hooked up to a 6" inline fan running 24/7 in the room scrubbing the air to Keep odors under control when the exhaust fan isn't running.

No a/c and no co2 this run. its winter and cold outside, so a fresh air room will work just fine until summer. I am putting in a/c before summer and co2 as i will need it but its not a necessary expense right now.

I have a personal production license allowing me to grow 147 plants and my friend has a license for 25 plants. this is a collective garden, of 172 plants, which we call, Guerrilla Gardens.

we are going to run 170 plants, in 2 gallon pots, sea of green style, promix cut with perlite for a medium, GH floura series nutes with bioroot, Florablend, koolbloom for supplements.

Now i know there going to be some immediate questions and criticisms about the set up so I'm going to address those now.

you may be wondering why we've built all that shit outta wood to hang the lights off of? why not just hang everything from the roof?

well the roof is 12' tall. it would be a huge pain in the ass. The fans would blow the lights around and it would just make things more difficult adjusting the lights unnecessarily. Im going to figure out a better way but for now all the wood actually came from storage shelfs that were in the room. we just took them apart and used what was there, recycled all the wood, screws and material, and built something thats functional but not as aesthetically pleasing. we have yoyos attached to the lights so we can adjust them from the framework we built with ease. raise and lower them without the need of a latter in a room cram packed with plants.

Also the frame work allows us to run all our wire up above nice and neatly and any additional ducting. we can move the lights around easily any which way as needed throughout the grow if were not getting even light distribution, and we can run and additional ducting up top and out of the way if need be. we can hang thermometers and anything else we may need so when we thought about building this frame work, from a functional point of view it made sense

weve just about finished building the room. in a week we should be off to the races! if theres interest in this grow journal, i will keep posting updates. Feel free to ask any questions you may have!Resized_20170124_221650.jpg Resized_20170124_220916.jpg Resized_20170124_220848.jpg Resized_20170124_220941.jpg Resized_20170124_222110.jpg

well it was a good day at guerrilla gardens yesterday. 150 clones moved into the flower room and a couple lights fired up. im running 100 mku and 50 bubba kush for genetics. they will veg for for a few weeks and they get transplanted into 3 gallon pots and flipped. I also installed some 10inch hard ducting for intake air and built a flood table for one of my 5x5 veg tents

Good luck, I hope it goes well. Are you a bit worried about the fire risk with all that wood and wires hanging about?

No im not worried. It looks a bit messy as its not completely finished. For the electrical Im running 2 separate boards with their own dedicated 30 amp breaker. running 4 lights each. As a rule I only use 80% of what I have available. So to be safe I'll only use 24amps of the available 30 amps per board. Everything has been wired to code and inspected. Should be nothing to worry about. When a house is wired for electrical there are wires run along the studs inside the walls. my setup is no different, its safe if its done properly.

just have a small question, i knoticed you've put up white plastic directly touching the wall. underneath the plastic are you using a product such as glassroc or aqua tough? the plastic directly touching the wall will invite moisture to build up between the drywall and the plastic and invite mold over time.

Yes, On the back side of the panda film is toughtock. A mold and moisture resistant drywall panel with additional moisture and vapor barrier. Our room is currently a fresh air room not a sealed room so I replace all the air in that room in about 90 seconds. Humidity doest have a chance to build up before its replaced. Its a non issue for our application. In a sealed room or wetter more humid climates it could definitely prove more problematic without a mold and moisture resistant product

What a great idea
Also good vids & thx for sharing, how many people work in ur garden?
Thanks! Im glad you like the videos. Making videos is new to me, im trying my best. Hopefully they get better. I love to share the content if theres interest in it. I learned alot over the years watching youtube videos and reading for YEARS on rollitup and other sites like it. I'll keep making the videos if people are into it.

Only one person working in my garden....and your talking to him its a one man show. With the exception of some trim help of course

That being said Ive had a good friend with far more knowledge and experience than myself along for the journey, Consulting and helping with aspects of the build throughout this process so far. So I most certainly cannot take all the credit, but as far as the day to day operations, its a solo show

Thanks dude, much love! 149 plants under 7k should be good. To think i was gunna run 170 clones in there......lol

As far as stakes or a scrog net, im undecided. I like stakes cause everything stays mobile. Can move plants around as need be if need be. Scrog nets are great but you lose your mobility in the room.only way scrog nets would work is if I had 2 nets under each row of lights with a break in the middle directly beneath the 10" hard pipe for a walk way. Great question and the answer has alluded me thus far lol. Thats the great part about this community. Were all along for the ride and here to learn, teach and help each other out. Im super open and receptive to suggestions!
