Time for a new AG

I am pretty sure that the only way we will ever see Trump leave office is in handcuffs, he will deny any lost elections and maybe take a page from the Romans and add months to the year in order to stay in power. I think that now there will be enough to get some Republicans to seek a special investagator. I really hate Sessions and I know that he is the manin person shaping policy right now.

There's so much smoke here that Cheech and Chong are hacking.

Great reporting, REAL NEWS media Washington Post and New York Times!

Even Putin is getting concerned over the incompetence of the Trump Clown Show.

..

Recuse? Resignation? Screw that: indict, prosecute and imprison this criminal so-called AG in one of his loathsome private prisons.
5:03 PM EST
I think the bigger problem is that Republicans have been lying so much, they have forgotten the difference between the truth and a lie. This is clearly perjury.

Rather curious timing on Sessions part. Up until the news broke yesterday that he had told little white lies to the judiciary committee concerning his contacts with Russians, Sessions was adamant he would not recuse himself from the investigation of Trump being a traitor, but now that Sessions has been exposed he puts on this honorable persona, stating of course he is recusing himself. Despicable, but par for the course for the GOP.

Now he has to resign.

"He was 100 percent straight with the [Judiciary] committee, and I think that people who are choosing to play partisan politics with this should be ashamed of themselves.”

Thank you for that Mr Spicer. I agree completely. Republicans should be ashamed of themselves for choosing party over country by shielding sessions and the administration from an independent review of Russian involvement in the election.

Well done WaPo! You guys are doing a bangup job keeping these guys feet to the fire...better than NYT and definitely blowing Breitbart out the water.
Next move, get this guy to resign by revealing what was discussed. Better still that Jeff and Donald discussed the meetings.

Sessions will still face jeopardy from a possible perjury charge, that's not all folks, just wait, Trump's new Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross is a money launderer for Russian oligarchs, this whole administration is a collection of crooks, extremists, incompetents and traitors.
5:02 PM EST
Sessions had all the time in the world to correct his statements in the hearings. He could have sent a letter to the CHairman stating he had a meeting with the Russian Ambassador and what they discussed. HE DID NOT DO THIS. Why? Only does this become an issue when Sessions is FOUND out. Recuse is not enough Sessions needs to be removed because he thinks he is above the law.
5:02 PM EST
Still all fake news?
5:02 PM EST
Now that Sessions has recused himself from the investigation, they should offer him immunity from the felony perjury charges to compel his testimony on all details of Trump's involvement with the Russians.
5:02 PM EST
"Attorney General Jeff Sessions will recuse himself from any probe related to 2016 presidential campaign"

Well good; that solves one problem.

However, there is still the issue that Jeff Sessions lied under oath to his fellow senators in his confirmation hearing. That is grounds for his resignation, impeachment and / or prosecution for lying under oath. And senators and representatives, this can not be swept under the rug. It is out here; he did it; you must take action.

Mighty White of Sessions to recuse himself from investigations of crimes he and his boss, Trump, committed to win the election.

spicer this morning: "there is nothing to recuse himself from"

trump on recusal this afternoon: "i don't think so"

hours later, sessions: "i recuse myself"

this is only going to get worse now. this scandal is already bigger than watergate before any investigation starts. let's look at the timeline:

july: sessions meets with kislyak at the RNC. ukraine platform is changed, stolen DNC info drops the next week.
august: senators are briefed about the russian hacking
september: sessions meets with kislyak again.
january: "i did not have any communications with russians"
march: "i recuse myself from the investigation because i had communications with the russians, but i don't remember what those communications were, and they were just part of my role as a member of the senate armed services committee"

26 members on that committee, none had any contact with kislyak even once. sessions met with him twice.

usually when you meet with ambassadors, notes are taken and people report back to their respective governments what was discussed. somehow, all that standard protocol was jettisoned for sessions, the only senator to endorse and campaign for trump, and kislyak, the russian ambassador and top spy recruiter.

and we haven't even started talking about ROSNEFT yet, but we will soon. and then the recent EO which got rid of the rule that stated that oil companies must disclose payments to foreign governments will make a lot more sense.

there's a missing 19.5% stake in ROSNEFT, the company that stands to gain from the trillion dollar oil deal in russia.

trump is so fucking dumb he thought no one would ever find out about all this.

well, turns out jefferson beauregard sessions III used campaign funds to travel to the convention for his meeting with the russian ambassador. he did not use his office funds.

that, and lying under oath to congress about something the FBI is investigating you for, is not very smart at all.

i thought we were only going to get the best people?

They are the best and the brightest. Rush said so all day. He pointed out (again) that Obama is hiding in his nearby command center orchestrating a coup. Obama thinks that Trump is dumb and that depriving him of these whiz-kids will make him impotent (nicely dodging the impossible concept of Trump himself being guilty of collusion). But it is Obama who is dumb. Trump is the healthiest person to have ever run for the office of President. And he knows beautiful words. So beautiful. Believe me.

This is all about government who wants to control everything you do. Who doesn't want you driving a big car. Who wants to be able to deprive you of healthcare and make nana go before a death panel.

It's not missing. It's hidden.
