Germany has done very well in its trade deals with the U.S.

says trump.

fun fact: germany has no trade deals with the US.

any of you trump voters want to tell me how proud you are of your vote for the best trade negotiator ever?
He must've heard Germany has a huge trade surplus and assumed it was related to the US.

It's because they have factories, so many factories and workers that are happy to work in them because theyre well paid and get excellent sick, pregnancy, pension, etc. benefits

germans get to keep their health insurance between jobs too. they don't have to pay out the ass for COBRA, or failing to do that, lose their health insurance and then face a 30% penalty when they get insurance again (trumpcare plan).

Their hospitals are exceptional as well...those "Socialists" and their stupid free education eh?
they don't even do single payer, either. they have health insurance companies just like we do and everything. the only difference is that their insurers are mandated by law to be non-profit.

"but how could they possibly compete and thus provide better outcomes if there is no profit motive?" - right wingers, dumb

"it's not in anyone's best interests to go out of business" - german insurance companies, smart

oh, and their government intervenes heavily into their health care system to negotiate the prices they will pay out for procedures on an annual basis. so much for the free market!

The executives can still make major coin too, they just need to put a certain proportion of earnings into care before anything else.

insurance companies in germany are mandated by law to spend a certain percentage on patient care, and are forced to keep their administrative costs below a certain percentage.

the same mechanism was written into obamacare too.

Except EU states are fully sovereign Nation States.

And don't say US States are too, because they're not really.
Ok, dont say the us states aren't intended to be independent nations. It would be awesome if Colorado adopted any number of healthcare models yall constantly point to from other states.
