How are YOU Handling DAYLIGHT SAVINGS

My opinion is don't f--- with the timers. The plants don't know whats going on, only you do. Make yourself a little note on the outside of your grow area for time change to remind yourself. Because this shit happens twice a year. So your going to have to change the clocks back to what you originally had them set for in the first place. Thats why I don't mess with mine. The definition of insanity is: "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result". Nuff said...happy growing...Peace:leaf:

Hey RIU,, I thought I would throw this question out there, to see how everyone handles their Daylight Savings time change. I am not on my first grow, but apparently have not been in the middle of flowering During a Daylight Savings change for any of my Previous, and am wondering HOW, if AT ALL, does anybody handle the Time Change?

Does anyone actually change their Timers by an hour? And could this cause a Problem in Flowering?

Lets hear your thoughts on the Matter!
Definatly leave your timers the same....your lights will turn on what seems like an hour earlier and go off an hour earlier but in fact will still never have changed from 12/12. If you were to turn your timers time back an hour the plant would start receiving 13 hours of light and possibly revert back to veg or fuckin it up just enough to affect bud structure......just leave shit alone in my opinion

off peak electric rate is 7-7am, so yes timers change aswell. Much nicer to pay 8cents a kilowatt, than 24 cents which is peak rate, peak start @ 7:01..

Plants arent going to explode from an hour less lights out for one day

Since my state doesn't get daylight savings, i actually had a hard time finding digital timers with the ability to shut it off.

Also, dont get so OCD about the plants in relation to the real time because when they say 8 weeks its 56 days not 61 days.

LOL is only one day. Daylight savings time isn't an everyday occurrence

Daylight savings time is the stupidest shit and should be banned. Actually, I want to stay on DST all the time. Who the hell wants it to get dark earlier?????
That's not a bad idea but in the summer it wouldn't be daylight until like 9:30 in the morning lol

And what he is trying to get at is his timer says one thing but it's going off at a different time but all you have to do is change the timer to the real time while they are sleeping or just ride it out this time..

Im running a room full of autos 24 hour of light a day.... so i dont give a fukc about daylight savings time....
What kind of lighting are you running? I would think on a 24hr schedule, one would want to dial down the ppfd to have a lower dli for the never ending light. Otherwise, the plant just gets exhausted and can slow down, plus light is wasted
