1st grow, and post lol need some help w/ these 2 plants. I'm unsure if the plant is male, or if it's just too early to tell.

I suspect this from the small bulge starting to form between the node/bud sight.

Is this plant Male, or is it to early? Is the plant lacking any major deficiencies? (I know I have 2 plants in a 1.5l pot, just haven't had a chance to replant/separate so I'm stuck here lol)

The plant(s) are 1 month old from seed.
no nuits/time schedule really, tap water.

What are they planted in? How often do you water? And have you switched to 12 hours light dark cycle yet?

Because to me it looks like they've got nutrient burn from the medium. That's those brown bits on the leaf tips. Also. It's a bit dark.

Watering should be left till the top inch of soil is dry. Or till the pot feels comparatively light to when it's saturated. But not to the point your plant is falling over from dehydration.

Also. Welcome to rollitup.

You'll get the hang of it. These guys taught me how to grow. And I used to just kill everything by being a noob.

It's too early to tell what you've got until flowering is initiated.

Also. You could easily have another small bucket for plant number two. Otherwise they'll both be fighting for dominance in that tiny bucket.

You'll actually get more if they aren't fighting for the available nutrients.

What kind of light have you got them under?

Planted in some random potting soil fromna grocery store. Haven't switched yet, but I think it's about time, I'm not looking for the biggest yeild my first grow, just getting the hang of it.

That sounds right, I water the plant a lot'ish sometimes I'll come home to a dry pot. The burnt tips, and brownish leafs are from some HOT leds I was using in a temp grow box. Don't have a grow light atm, using a lamp w/ 13w cfl. I know, that's horrible.

I just want to flower/identify the plants now lol, when switching do you do a period of 24hrs dark/does it have to be COMPLETE darkness? Thanks for the help, and replies!

3 posts to tell the guy that?? lol The only thing i see is bulges where the stems are thickening , It is not showing sex yet and may not for a weeks , No deficiencies seen , it looks fine to me , :) BB

EDIT : 13 watts of cfl is not enough , get more watts, and yes when you switch to flower it has to be completely light tight ,otherwise you run the risk of a hermie and shitty yields

Edit: okay thank you everything helps me when this is the first grow. I was running 3× 13w cfls + 4× 20w leds but the plants to big for the box now, and honestly it was a fire hazard lolol

Those "bulges" are just the plants "muscles" so to speak. Its usually a good sign. Nothing to worry about
Boommb all good news to hear, I've been trying to stress the plant out in little ways to gain size, or "muscles" I just had to make sure lol, been a loonng month of waiting.

Careful with the stress when growing from seed unless you're very familiar with those genetics. I almost always wait to LST/supercrop until I'm on the second run with clones I've taken. Seed grows need time to adapt to your environment.

It gets worse when you're watching those nugs fatten up. The smell alone has you salivating and getting itchy trimming fingers.
lol you're right, the plants JUST starting to have a distinct smell to it. Getting sticky icky fingers just handling it, I can't wait for flowering..

Okay thank you for the input, they're just some bagseed from Blueberry Trainwrek, by Broken Coast. No ferm, or auto-flower. Just 2 healthy seeds that germinated over the other 6.

Thank you for the help, I've been like torturing my plant lol, pinching the stem (breaking fibers on the inside w/o damaging the outer layer), ripped the bottom circular* leafs (cyclotons or something?) off, HIGH fan speeds, + some LST using pipe cleaners that caused some damage lol. Lost a fan leaf or two, but the plants still kickin.

Going to leave it alone for awhile, I've been beating this lil guy up.
