to harvest or not to harvest?

I have a purple bud by white label. I see very little new growth on the buds and 80-90% of the hairs have gone orange. White label says she is ripe from 50-65 days into flowering. she's on day 53. Her trichs are super cloudy, i'd say 85% at least, but there are no amber trichs anywhere. Her smell has also changed, she was very sweet before but now she's almost musty or spicy in a way. Keep in mind I'm also having to move at the end of this week.

What would you guys do?

I just finished the exact strain. I let it go 70 days here's a bottom cola. I'd wait for amber trichs to appear, you DO NOT want to chop her early. It's a great smoke if you let it go long, vey dense frosty nugs.

Actually scratch the 70s days that pretty much a guess, I agree with DR.who. I chopped after seeing about 20 amber or when the plants ready.. But I like to let mines amber up a bit. Her top cola was falling over from the weight. Wish I still had the pics of whole plant :(

thanks very much man, I'll let her go longer than. Yours didn't go purple either? I got low night temps and have a mango in there that has purple leaves now but this "purple" bud has no sign of purple whatsoever.

What was the smoke/high/flavor like?

No problem. I cut a clone of it and forgot about it outside and it went purple. Not this one, it was grown indoors. Really wanted the purple to show up as well. The night temps outside are around 55-65 here so I'm guessing that's when it will show. I'm running it outdoors again just to see if I can get that color going. The smoke is great, nice and smooth, the high is very much couch lock indica, it puts me to sleep, the smell and flavor are whhere it really shines imo. Good luck on the rest of your grow !

but what about having to move at the end of the week? how does this move involve your plant in current flower?

I would have liked to be able to chop her down and dry her here. one less plant to have to move.
oh. drying it would have taken longer than the end of the week too .

but, if you have the time to spare why not chop a pretty little cola off and dry it, smoke it, decide then even? 53 days is early for sure, wait more if you can

can you do that, and not hurt the flowering process?

hey have you ever come across a plant, with the bud sites being nice and good, but as you follow the stem down lower, more bud sites appear flowering intensly, wish i had a pic, hope you can get an idea of what i'm saying

yeah, I try to assure mine flower down that stem every inch or so, all the way down to as far as my 1000 watt hps penetrates, about 18 inches effectively, everything below has a brazilian trim right to the stick ideally

I've got some flowering close to the main stalk, if you look at the bud that beahind it, there is more right there of course, wish i had a better picture, but the budding is also down from that point, and more further down. Sorry wish i had a better pic. Also sorry for the thread owner, not trying to hijack your thread, just wanted to get more experience eyes on it.WP_20170314_002[1].jpg

k, i don't know either, its beena strickly soil grow, with just watering every 3 days, i have never added any nutes to my watering, the only nutes are in the soil itself that i make personally and keep track of what i use.

I do have a spider in the area, me and him have been going round and round as of late, i would move him to another area, like in the kitchen, and a couple of day later i would find him back, sitting on one of the leaves then i move him again, this time outside.

other than that, its just watering, i got a picture of the top cola if nessecary

Aw, come on here chemmy! Lower buds do not need "direct penetrating light" to develop!
Did you know that it's proven fact that lower buds tend to develop higher THC concentrations then the mains!
Here's the bottom of a Gg4. 52 inch's tall in the pick. Under a 600w !
