THE SWELLING CONTINUES...

Wassup Y'all

Although this is my first grow to finish, I am still believing that this plant will be ready by Week 10. It's really amazing to see the calyx's get pretty much swallowed by.. what are they? Leaves? I had no idea this happened, I thought the calyxes just swelled, for instance getting larger in surface area. Anyways the fall colors are coming, with more buds turning purple and getting dustings from the THC fairy. The smell is starting to turn to a dank skunk fragrance with the sweetness at the front of the palate. For the past two days my humidity has spiked to 80% sometime at night. I don't know how long it's 80% for, maybe in the morning hours here? I did put two small fans pointed upwards diagonally into the middle of the foliage. That will keep the air flowing as should keep pm or bud rot out. I'm not concerned just being cautious, plus it's good to have active air flow in the foliage. Anyways here's the pr0n
Looking sweet man, check that fatty on the right hand side mmmmmm. Yeah i wanted 1 more week out of my grow and i chopped due to humidity refusing to come down and i just didnt wanna risk mould after a good long grow. I dont think she looks quite ready yet from the pics but i guess the trich's will tell you more.

Your on home stretch man, patience is key and good job buddy.

Thank you dude!

Yeah I'm going to take it to ten weeks unless the trich's start turning fast. Right now it's about 50/50, with amber speckled throughout. I'm really just waiting on the calyx's to swell then I'll really start paying attention to trich's. As for right now I believe 10 weeks is the right time

That's the best pc grow case plant I have seen! Smart move using led in there. Looks like real nice quality too!
Thank you dude! I just gotta get the heat under control, without the front room being 68 degrees with the ceiling fan on. The funny thing is, is no one is the wiser when they are in my living room. There are slight, minute light leaks but no one ever wonders. It also helps that there is Zero smell, and if there is it's very floral, even at almost 10 weeks flowering.

Next grow I'll be doing things a little differently and hopefully by the end of it I'll have a stealth cabinet.

I'm looking into growing TLO, by the Rev. it's similar to no-till, but with less bugs. I have no problem with bugs, but I'm reading Total Living Organics by the Rev and I would like to give it a shot. There is quite a bit of preparation and with the next grow I will be implementing some of the recipes and techniques.

Flowering Week 9 Day 1

Wassup Y'all,

Man, she is still chugging along but I believe the end is near. I was planning on chopping her a week from today, on Day 1 of Week 10, but it maybe afterwards. The calyx's are still swelling and unless things start changing rapidly it looks like it could be longer than a week. However this is my first grow all the way through, so these are merely guesses. The fan leaves are fading fast and the majority will be dead by the end of this week. The frosting is taking place and the buds are shaping up nicely. There are lots of little foxtails, which I'm guessing are genetics rather than temps being too hot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to my understanding Sativa's are known for foxtailing without heat. Now although the parents combo is 85/15 I/S, the length it's taken for this plant to mature reflects Sativa. I'm totally cool with that, I just hope some of the effects have some Sativa qualities. The smell is still the same, very neutral. There is still the spike at night with 75 rh, but I believe it to be a limited time like in the morning when the sun comes up and evaporates the dew. Other than that the rh is 49-50. Perfect. Sorry y'all no pictures today. Spring time pollen is kicking my ass. This has been the worst yet. My energy is gone and I'm soooo sleepy. It also makes me super cranky. Anywho I'll post up some pics tomorrow. She looks really great

Very impressive! I'd like to see what you can do in a bigger area. Even a small cab.

There is only so much you can grow in a pc case, but you've got it nailed!

Dude I really appreciate that. Yeah, I ask that same question "I wonder what I could do in a bigger space," every single day. I think I'll have one more grow in there then transition to a cab and hopefully have two.

Flowering Week 10 Day 1

Wassup y'all

Man my patience is really running thin. I thought it would be done by now but it looks like the plant isn't done swelling, and while there are many more amber hairs, the whites continue to be there. However, they are not new pistils, rather their calyx's aren't done swelling. It does make me worry that there is a light leek and maybe that is the reason it's not done. I do think I'm freaking out and over-reacting. I have to keep reminding myself that I have years and years to grow , so it doesn't have it be perfect right now. I do want excellence yes, but this is the first cannabis plant that I have fully grown out.

Other than all the the bud really exploded out with little foxtails here and there. The plant has also turned my more purple and the resin glands have stood up. I still don't think the plant is ready. Advice is completely welcome, but I'm going to stick with my gut here.

I read in The Rev's book "Total Living Organics", that the plant needs to be at least 55 days old before flipping it, do you think that's the reason? Or do you think this phenotype leans more towards Sativa evidence of the foxtails, long-thin leaflets, as well as the 10+ week flowering time?

Opinions are always welcome

Flowering Week 10 Day 3

This past weekend I was away from my plant, but on arriving and since then, the calyx's have really started to push out. There has been some really sweet rapid growth there. I saw a single foxtail grow half an inch to an inch in a few days. Pretty neat. I think this will be done by the end of the week, day 1 of week 11. The purple is taking over the whole bud and as calyx's swell, they get a beautiful frosting. Here's a shot from earlier

What are the trichomes like?
Well it's interesting, because one look in the microscope and I'll see all amber, 2nd look all cloudy, 3rd look 50% cloudy 50% clear. So I'm judging by the pushing of the calyx's. It has been continuing the foxtails pushing out. As far as width and thickness goes it's the same I want to say.

Your thoughts?

Chopped at Week 11 Day 2

Wassup y'all,

Yesterday I decided to chop her down and not wait any longer. I made this decision based on a few reasons, first being the last three nights I was an idiot and left the case open. The lights were off in the room, however there was distant light. Second reason is the buds stopped swelling and there was new growth on the calyx's, which makes me think it still had a few days (hindsight is 20/20). However there were calyx's turning auburn and God damnit it just felt like it was never going to stop.

She smelt so great, it was a floral bouquets with lilac, honeysuckle, small hints of berries, and a tiny bit of funk (rotting fruit). The tops are the only places that turned purple so maybe I should have staggered the cutting process. Either way this is a learning process and I'm really pleased with the end result.

The bottom 2 inches of the pot were wrapped in roots as well the bottom was nothing but roots and no soil.

I tested out a small bud that was accidentally cut off when trimmed. It exhale was a little bit of blueberry and could be felt behind the eyes, similar to head band.

The total wet weight was 150 grams, so I'm still holding out for an ounce anyways here she is

If you can get something bigger and better than the 2 UFO's do it. My bud is almost done drying, but it's airy. It's much more denser and bigger when I grew with CFL's. Now as far as the bud being potent, I couldn't tell you. I'll post it up after it's done curing.
