That's what I got out of that big read too....
criminal penalties for both medical and recreational that just did not exist before.
and driving will be the biggest screw around going.
You will be guilty by default just by being a med patient, in every case that piece of info...(your MMAR or ACMPR)
will haunt your driving record, unless you have a lot of personality and can get really good at explaining the whole situation
to the police over and over again...provided they will even listen.
I'm pretty sure most of us would be safer hanging up the drivers licence come legalization....other wise enjoy the life of an impaired driver....
and the cost of insurance....I will be letting the wife drive....and forgoing the licence....
This was the main reason I did not support legalization....in the first place.
I never am impaired from smoking mmj ...never....I mean I wish.... really I have not had a good buzz in about 3 years...
and I kinda laugh at peoples triple A and Quadruple A meds... since they have basically zero effect in the stoned dept.

I think any decent lawyer would get a guy off of this if it was medical but guess we'll soon find out for sure. Fingers crossed.
we shall go with that logic then

ok, so how the fuck(not directed at you) would it become LAW in the first place if a good lawyer could make it not so?
riddle me that one (:

I know this will probably be a massive shock to you but lawyers get people off of broken laws all the time lol.

The rec thing is brand new. I'm sure they'll be ironing out details and making adjustments for many, many years I bet.

Lets put it this way, this thing is set up to make money at each step of cannabis consumption or to divert anyone wanting to grow their own to just said fuck it with all the requirements and just buy it or send people to jail. I can't see the people running the Task Force being able to really come up with this.

I might be crazy for saying this but were better off having anti legalization protest so this doesn't pass.

so for someone who has about 6 doses per 4.5 hour period...they should be permanently over.
Maybe they will issue medical cards with our (P.O.T ) Permanently Over Tables printed on them...
just a thought. May have to consider giving up the drivers licence, otherwise
Im sure theres a constitutional challenge here. Kinda like the Allard take on it where patients were forced to choose between health or liberty. Now its a choice to be able to freely move within our own country or imprisonment

I am worried about my ass backwards province "Manitoba" anyway the crooks over at the monopoly known as Manitoba public insurance the only vehicle insurance company in monopolytoba want zero tolerance for cannabis or druggged driving as those asses refer to it. This is so fucked I have drove for over 15 years with cannabis in my system and I have a clean driving/criminal record but not for long all because of my medical need for mmj and my greedy gov....

I hear you. I have smoked dawn to dusk for over 35 years, so am I permanently impaired? How did I manage to replace a car engine, build a fence, fix a few thousand computers, do all of my own business taxes, etc, etc, etc. all while being impaired? Maybe impaired is a good thing for me, quiet down my overactive brain to a dull roar.

I have not been pulled over more that a few times in the last 20 years and it is always bullshit reason when it happens. So what do I do? When the cops asks for license and insurance I just recite my drivers license #. Now of course they want to see the license to see if I was correct. When they realize that I was correct, I ask them why they pulled me over. They just send me on my way. I really enjoy doing that.

FWIW, if occasionally I feel too high to drive comfortably, then I do not drive.

While waiting for my med license to arrive I received a "random" study from the government in my mail. It wanted to know if I drive or use public transit, how often I drive, the times of day and where (!) that I drive etc etc etc. I just threw it in the trash. Weird.

My town doesn't even have a bus.
