First time I've done a dwc grow so would like to know what some of you guys think of my progress.

4 x purple haze in a rdwc system under 600w mh.

Using canna aqua vega at 850ppm and ph 5.8 to 6.

Topped plants and done some mild training with a net.

Anyway any advice on how they are looking at 5 days into flower would be great.

Well no reply s but here's an updated picture of my girls 8 days into flower.

This is my first rdwc grow and would love to here from some more experienced dwc growers, how are my girls looking?

I have my water temps at 17C to 18C and room temps at 73 with humidity at about 65.

Like I said any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys for the kind comments almost given up on anybody saying anything.

I need to change my nutrient solution in 2 days but do I use canna aqua vega again or the aqua flores? They are still growing really fast so thinking maybe more aqua vega or a mixture of vega and flores?
What do you guys think?
Day 10 of flower now.

Thanks for the advise I was thinking the same but found it a bit strange to one day just switch to flores... surely the plants needs change more slowly than that hence maybe a mix of the 2? Kind of the best of both for a week as things start changing?
Just a thought as I don't know if these would mix well?

They are so happy at the min I wouldn't want to upset the balance by doing something silly. May just mix a bit in my current tank and monitor for a couple of days see how they are off it?

Maybe somebody has mixed them some with success, only be aware of possibly precipitating something or causing lockout otherwise I like to do a nice ramping down/up transition where tapering off the veg food and ramping into and up with bloom foods, completely arbitrary and by feel.

That sounds like a great idea, I may give that a go next water change. Prob do 500ppm vega instead 850ppm and use flores for the other 350ppm?
Do you thank I may need to be using calmag?
My water from the tap is very good but very soft at the same time. Only 40 ppm from the tap here.

Ok well mixed a fresh 25l of canna aqua flores at 900 ppm to match what is already in my system of the aqua vega.
Will monitor for next couple of days and see what happens. First signs of flowers are just starting so see how much they stretch out now.

When would you guys change to a sodium bulb I usually leave it to stretch has almost stopped but that was while growing in soil? I would love to hear what everyone else does at this stage regarding changing bulbs for flower?

Airwalker thanks for the advice.

i have already started ramping down the vega and ramping up the flores.

i expect this to take 7 to 10 days and will be complete by the time the plants stop stretching or just before.

i have read about people getting deficiencies from switching to soon and as they are still growing really fast i think they still need a lot of the nutrients vital for the veg stage,.IMO the plants needs do not change overnight after you switch 12/12?

Anyway plants seem to be loving it and my tent is so full.WhatsApp Image 2017-04-19 at 12.40.02 PM.jpeg

He means that the plants will benefit from some selective pruning. I try to remove redundant fan leaves that will allow more light to penetrate. I would also start running the sodium lamp to reduce your stretch-haze should be a Sativa strain so she may want to really stretch.
I thought it's was the blue spectrum of the mh bulb which helped with stretch?

Blue makes them shorter, red makes them lanky.
That's why mine are still on the mh bulb will be changing over to a hps later next week. The question is should I double up on the light and have 2 x 600w hps for rest of flower or would that be a waste?

How big is your space? Why not run one each of both MH and HPS?
