Look UP. At those dictating the ways of life as they see it. War and hate.

see I've got a problem with that. Stop trying to divide us. Pick the % you think EVERYONE should be paying! It should be real simple. 1 tax bracket and ZERO deductions for everyone! Either we're equal or we're not! If you want certain people to pay more then at least their votes should count more than someone who pays less or even worse nothing! If we all pay the same rate with no deductions those who earn more would naturally pay more. Unfortunately it would be less than their paying now! But you liberals want equality until it comes to who pays more taxes. The liberals claim they want more choices except when it comes to health care. Then they want 1 plan for everyone.
Equal means everyone is treated the same.
Equal means you don't get into college because you're a minority or any other type of label the liberals use to divide us. Equal should mean no ones race age gender or any other silly thing you can imagine is even asked for. Entry would be SOLELY be decided on who is better qualified. Meaning best grades and the highest aptitude tests ONLY. Filling colleges based race, gender or religion is just another form of discrimination.

This is incorrect. A flat tax hurts the poor because they need all of their income. The rich only need a tiny fraction of their income to live on.
Why are you protecting the ability of the rich to exploit you and other people of lesser means?

I don't advocate violence but I do want to see the rich pay taxes.
I think a progressive tax system like we had in the 1950s and 1960s would solve America's fiscal problems and in so doing would provide prosperity to everyone.
As it is, the entire country is headed towards yet another Great Crash and economic depression, just like the one nearly 100 years ago.
Just hoping for another FDR won't work. We need to push the political system to the left. One person can't act alone and fix everything. That's the fallacy of a presidential strategy.

You know it's funny when I needed money I worked hard and or I got a second or third job. I don't want to hear anyones problems UNLESS you are physically unable! When you're getting handouts it's easy to stay poor. Do you know that around 45% of people who are poor have 3 flat screen tvs with cable service. That's not poor! Money earned would be respect much more than government assistance.
Give a man a fish you feed him for a day.

The difference is that the billionaire did not make all that money alone; they had the help of thousands of other and the way to return that value is through progressive taxation. They even get the benefit of a more prosperous society and economy which means even more customers.
No millionaire made their money by themselves, so thinking of them as individuals for the purpose of taxation ignores the rest of the picture.

Our society is being systematically stripped of cash and assets by the rich. Taxing them is the way to put those assets to work for all of society.
The poor don't have any money; that's the definition of poverty. So why do they pay the highest tax rates?
The rich don't work second and third jobs. Most of them got the money in trust funds from their parents. Why do you defend THEIR laziness?
