MALE Hermaphrodite? Cannabis Plant Re-Vegged MALE Showing Pistils #BREEDERS

Question to #Breeders.. Found this male plant which was quickly re-vegged after sexing.. New veg growth came at a normal rate of time after flip.. BUT~! Found a few hairs coming out of a few of the sacks. The question is this.. Did this happen due to being confused or does this male plant have to potential to pass on it's hermaphroditic characteristics/traits on to a female that was pollinated by it?? It was hand selected due to its amazing short, stalky, bushy structure and smell... Toss or continue to experiment??

Sometimes a male plant will develop mature staminate flowers after prolonged periods of vegetative growth. not a mutant.
Are you selecting this plant as a stable male to breed with or what?

what makes you believe it was a genetic male plant to begin with?

Well that's what was odd.. This thing was flowered at about 5 nodes tall.. Then QUICKLY thrown into my 20 on 4 off veg room to kick it back over.. Could have gotten confused, but I've done this many times and have never seen this.. The plant is not even 2 months old..

And yes.. I hand selected this one to use for breeding program.. (NL x GG4 F1.. picking thru..) Liked this one due to its extremely bushy, stalky, stinky nature... Mainly for structure.. We all know how much the GLUEs stretch.. so looking to cross with several other varieties to tighten bud structure and increase potency.. Crossing TUTANKHAMON, KUSH BOMB, CHEMDAWG and AMNESIA KUSH to start with and then stabilize anyone of top notch quality and structure.. Don't think I'll use this one, but thought it was very interesting..

It was positively a male.. Can you see all the pollen sacks in the pic???

Not one hair until I kicked it back to veg and new vegetative growth starting to form.. So yea.. It was a male.. There is no mistaking a male from a female cannabis plant..

many, many posters monthly make that mistake here. Since marijuana can express both sexes I bet its more common than you think.

do you have pics of the male in full flower we can see?

Dude.. It's a male.. I cut off a whole top of pollen sacs.. Females put out white hairs when you flower.. These white hairs came AFTER re-vegging back into a vegetative state.. When it was flowered it produced dozens and dozens of pollen sacks.. No pistils.. They came after it was kicked back into veg.. Likely due to a state of confusion by the plant...

Here's what's left.. I cut off the top when it went back to veg.. Here's what's left.. For SURE a male..
I didnt doubt you amigo, just wanted to see the state of the plant. I see this plant was whacked while in flower too, notice the odd leaf structures, the plant was flowered while still in this state. You've created a wild ride there, I'd have to continue just to see what happens. I'd even hit it with some Reverse to really piss it off lol

Have you ever had a male re-veg with any kind of Female-traits leaking in?? I haven't but it would make sense in a state of confusion going back so quickly.. I just have never had this happen, but I'm no expert.. What I AM trying to avoid, is passing on Hemaphroditic genes off to my FEMS... Got a batch of NL x GLUE which I'm slowing pawing thru.. Hoping to get lucky with a good male.. Got some good FEMS and looking to stabalize & cross with TUT and a few others.. Hate to fuck this up with freak pollen.. You know many years it can take to get stable offspring... And how many years you can add by taking chances and adding more fucked up variables into the equation. BUT!! Taking chances can also lead to that super-unique situation in which GOLD can be created... So thanks again for input!!

I dont reveg, breed much, care about offspring or stability....and I never seen a male with pistils..
If you're into breeding for traits check out a Punnets Square, might make your trek shorter
