I shortened my drip rings slightly & enlargened the holes to 7/64 in. They don't plug as much but I've found that you've gotta match the strain to the waterfarm & when you flip & the amount of stretch you get after the flip is a key factor I'm running jack herer- x-blackberry it's as near as I can tell a sativa dominant hybrid & so far giving my best waterfarm performance to date I'm putting it in a 3x3 tent today & soon I'll fire up my single homemade waterfarm also going in a 3x3 tent with a calif light works ss275 which is a 200w light all my stuff is here I've just got to get it all hooked up its summer in the calif gold country & its hot

I drilled out my holes as well, its defo strain dependent i think if you have a mother and grew cutings by the 3rd time you cud max ur yeild for your light space but theres alot of variables
Day 30
Did sum well over due pruning still more to do but ill do more in a few days. Done a res change of 7ltrs ppm around 1000. There is a block of roots in the res so i cant top up with 9 ltrs as i was in the beginning, im away for the weekend and it shouldnt run out of water my last grow in summer it wudnt have lasted

Just found out today that i will be going over seas in 3 weeks i think she needs at least 4 weeks so im screwed! I cud convince my gf to just water for the last week but she will not cut trim dry it for me its the biggest pain about the whole thing so pissed off im just starting to like the look of some of these colas too

Things are looking up, my gf has reluctantly agreed to finish this grow for me however im guna have to show her everything n im not sure how its guna work out but hopefully itll be ok n nicely cured by the time i get back haha fingers crossed.

Lifted the lights, the buds under the cobs were starting to look a little bleached. Its awkward because the panel needs to be closer, i will ditch the panel next grow n maybe get 2 more cobs....

Thanks bud really happy with were shes at now my filter is struggling to control the smell, the photos with the flash do it justice there so much resin even the sugar leaves are thick with tricomes!

I have to leave for work for 6 weeks and leaving my relutant novice gf to finish her fingers crossed it all goes well.

Starting to see some orange hairs also a few def's showing in the leaves, iv been a bit lazy just toping up with water n nutes free handing it ha so will do a big flush tomorrow before i leave n top up with fresh nutes.

Hey dude I've been enjoying your grow and I'm just curious as to how far your lights are from the tops? Also how tall is your cab or tent?

Edit: also how was the tapping? That's always kept me away from building cobs

I always leave it around1 foot abouve the camopy of thw highest point, i think start at 1 foot amd adjust to the what the plant likes if you zoom in on the cola on the left right under the cob you can see the tip is just startingto get bleached, this is really only because it is directly under it but never the less i raised the light up a few more inches and wait and see if it gets better, with leds you want to get it as close to the plant as possible leds juat don't have the output of hids.

Tapping was a bit if a mess to be honest i ruined one heatsink becuase my drill was broken and drilling oval holes! But if you take your time its easy. I am an engineer by trade so i have done it before ans still messed it up ha.

If i could get a well suited driver i think 3 72v cobs in my space wud be perfect. But i may even get another pair of cobs and have 4 in there that wud be more than enuf light!
