just ordered a 5 pack of regular 9 pound hammer seed-----will be here Monday --anyone have experience with this strain---

I had a pheno get away from me that was amazing. It was shorter indica dominant with rock hard nugs. I mislabeled my clones and never saw her again. I had some taller phenos that were nice but not like the one that got away.

I did love hard on this one for two years. A huge easy grower with giant sticky nugs. be sure your atmosphere controls are spot on, it will grow mold in those baseballs if not.

will start seedlings in a small cabinet with a 60x3 watt led until they are a few weeks old .picks to come----I want to make my own seed so I need a boy and girl to grow inside by themselves--- and any females that are left to be put outside for a fall harvest. in 10 gallon pots

well as of today I got 5-- 9 pound hammer sprouts---will take pics in a couple days---this mainly a seed grow----these seed are expensive ----80.00 for 5 reg seed so I am glad all 5 broke don't want to seed a whole plant just a few hundred would do.dont want to seed all plants if I get at least 1 male and female I will be set.

I went ahead and germinated all the freebees--the only seed I am having trouble with is the free nacole kush --they sent me 5 --I got zero germ--they sent me 5 more have got 1 sprout from them so far---also 2 critical jack herer sprouts the heavyweight champion has sprouted and I put 3 dinafem white widow xxl and 3 amnesia in bottle water this morning

there is whole grow series by caliDoc on youtube about 9lb hammer.

Ive seen a few runs of this; every time I do they never look the same, some are kind of purple others very orange.

if you search it, there seems to be more then one breed of it. one indica another is most sativa based.

I'm been confused on this bean before, so I look forward in seeing how this turns out

In genetics, it refers to an allele whose phenotype can only be seen when there are two copies of it. Otherwise, its effects are covered up by a dominant allele.

Here's a simplified view of what's going on:

Humans - and most other animals - normally have two copies of each chromosome in their body, one from each parent. Thus, they have two copies of each gene as well. Each variant of a gene is called an allele. By encoding information about many of the compounds our bodies use, genes have effects on our traits, our phenotype. The terms "dominant" and "recessive" refer to the ways that different alleles affect the phenotype.

Simple Mendelian traits are is determined by only one gene. Imagine you have a flower that can have either purple or white flowers, and the color is determined by only one genetic locus. Purple is the dominant phenotype over white. If a plant has two copies of the purple allele B, the flowers are purple. If a plant has two copies of the white allele b, its flowers are white.

So what happens if the plant has one copy of B and one copy of b? Its flowers are still purple, because that's the dominant phenotype, and only one copy of it is needed to show the purple trait. One can construct a diagram called a Punnett square to see what happens if you breed two Bb plants. I won't explain all of what the diagram means (much of it is irrelevant), but you can see that the offspring have white flowers only if they are bb.



Recessive alleles are often, though not always, alleles that result in a loss of a particular function. This is because you often only need one copy of the "normal" gene to produce the corresponding phenotype, so the normal gene is dominant. (The exception is called "haploinsufficiency.")

In reality, things are more complex. Different genes and different alleles of the same gene can interact with each other in complicated ways that are still not fully understood. In addition, the environment and levels of gene regulation play crucial roles in determining your phenotype. But this is the basis for our understanding of much of genetics.

@LittleT yes I remember all that from 8th grade science class and being a redhead from two non redhead parents (recessive trait) I am reminded of it daily lol. I meant a little more specifically as in which trait or traits are they referring too. Not to cast dispersions but I would read that as "Caution! Hermi Prone!" which I doubt is how they meant it. The only other thing that comes to mind is "Warning! The pheno you're looking for only appears 1:100". I have no experience with their gear I am only referring to their advertising. Just a poor choice of words if you ask me. I hope it brings you fire tho!
