Aphids before harvest...

So i'm more or less curious if the harvest can still be made into bubble hash. i'm at 7 weeks and noticed them coving my Blue Dream x Blue Power. They've moved into the buds so I'm staying away from spraying anything, I already did azamax spot spray on the branches, trying to stay away from the buds but the aphids have starting getting in them too!

From everything I've been able to find, my goal is just turning the crop into bubble hash, then pressing it, would the micron screen be enough to keep anything aphid related out?

I would think so. Press it through a screen too. Lots of screens to catch contaminates. I'm sure if we knew everything that's on most weed, just from growing environment, it's probably a little dirtier than we think it is.

Thanks man, I would think so too, i'm just trying not to run all this as BHO either, I've blasted mites before and then polished it, I'm just really not into making BHO anymore lol. i'll have to check the local grow store to see if they have a small enough micron bag(s)

NO!!! screening will not remove bugs, eggs, nor guts. once your plant is infested it is contaminated. period. bho, bubblehash, dry sift nothing. sorry but its fact bro better luck next time

Says, the new member. I should say that and usually don't, but if all that is true back it up with science. Don't just bluntly put out shit.

not really much science needed. its common sense. new member on this forum by no means makes me a newbie in life. lets put it like this, bugs, at some life stages are almost impossible to see without a scope, and if you knew anything about root aphids, youd know they have several different life stages that they morph through a few being microscopic at times another one being fliers that will set up shop in the buds and lay eggs and feed and shit. this is what makes them a difficult pest to deal with. secondly, yes, some pests will leave when the plant is dead/dying, this does not mean the eggs, left. or the piss and s#*t left. or the dead bugs left either. real growers have enough sense to grow clean quality product and discard what is not. period. you cant honestly tell me because you blasted or ice bathed and screened infested material that you end up with clean product. that's bullshit and you know it. you may catch a lot, but you aint catching guts, legs, larvae, piss and shit. enjoy your garbage material.

Bet your MOM'S house smells like Bleach..... Hope you don't own a Dog.. Them critters might give you KOOTIES!!!

You can play the ole " God made dirt and dirt don't hurt game if you choose. Fact is pests carry disease and bacterias amongst other things. Being a germophobe and not wanting to inhale or ingest bugs, bug eggs, guts of bugs, and shit and piss from bugs is 2 totally different issues. From the sounds of it your MOMS house smells like feet and ass crack, and it's probably mostly coming from the mildew ridden basement where you're dumbass resides. Gain some knowledge bro. Step ur game up. And give that grungy dog a bath, haircut and a heartworm treatment, looks like he's on his last leg out here. We do this. All day. Everyday.

you can rationalize all you want. if someone said " hey I have bugs in my buds, think itll hurt to do a ice bath run" my answer would be if its just personal and you dont mind, than no, BUT, lets not go on forums and pretend that your catching them with screens and filters. as I stated before, REAL growers take this shit serious and rid their gardens of unwanted pests. bullshit wannabe growers are obviously just running tainted material as bubblehash and posting asinine comments that hold no merit. if you want to grow bullshit with bugs and fungi and molds, you go right ahead. but growers like you just give ammunition to the haters of the cannabis culture, like the feds, and big pharma. people who make their entire living off of cannabis respect and follow the rules. and NO BUGS is a major rule. any other real grower on here, or intends on being a real grower, block these 2 assholes fast!!! theyre idiots!!

Get some lady bugs. They eat the fuck out of them. Aphids are rampant outside so its not hard to get them. I have a few on my outdoor but nothing thats effecting my plants or anything. I let some lady bugs go about 2 months ago and they are still chillin out there eating those fuckers.

Watching this thread is entertaining for sure, don't think I'll chime in too much as I don't have bug issues in my garden outdoors. Thankfully lots of lady bugs. I had spider mites from my mums tomato plants, buts an organic fix is simple and easy when you know what you're doing.

You're right, there growers who don't care about what's in their marijuana. But most growers, even the newest know not to smoke mild and mouldy bud. Bugs are a part of outdoor, unless you are in a greenhouse and even still. Indoor i except to be spotless and tidy and perfectly kept. Outdoor, you cannot control nature. Even if yeah tried.

I'm done chiming.

Outdoors it can be a little more difficult and require much more effort. But if your using preventive products like predatory bugs, beneficial bacterias and fungi, biologicals, and essential oils and "target" plants around the garden, it's not impossible to achieve clean product outdoors. We do it every year. Without pesticides!! Do we have issues, absolutely, do we say "oh well, it's outdoors and we can't stop it"? Absolutely not!! We step our game up and eradicate unwanted pests because that's what you do as a grower with standards who will not accept tainted material/meds. Best of luck to everyone.
