What's up everyone! first and foremost, this is a state licensed, legal med grow. yada yada yada, blah blah blah. now that that's out of the way let's get into it!

currently building my veg system side of the PPK system. should be finished tomorrow or the next day. lots on the to do list. This round will be primarily ocean grown seeds ninja fruit. the last few will be whatever i have a couple spares of. Probably a couple harambe phenotypes in the 25-28% range. the OGS ninja fruit is untested from seed. could be awesome or could be garbage lol. rollin' the dice!

I got in on a promotion with Revolution Micro to test one of their lights/controllers out publicly and i get 50% off the cost. most of the other lights will be standard run of the mill cheap digital ballasts with air cooled hoods as well as a few of my DIY COB LED lights.

plants will be vegged over a 4x12 area and then flowered in three rows of four. nutrients are always and forever jacks hydro/calnit. may use a couple additives and see what happens. who knows?

Looks good buddy ... oh and nice vac chamber and pump lol
Thanks, I've got a date with the extractor tomorrow. Gonna be a long fucking day. I've got like 6 elbows of trim to blast and my spool only holds 1 p at a time. That vac pump and chamber is gonna be working overtime!

got hours worth of work done but dont have much to show for it lol. washing and mixing the media in this hydro system is a monster of a chore but well worth it in the end. got 8 ninja fruit going in tomorrow followed by a couple harambe in a few days. ive been making the dripper manifolds of 3/8 id hydrofarm tubing and tomorrow i will drill the holes in the homemade rings and plumb them in. all is well but moving slow with no help.

on top of all that my vac pump took a shit(my fault for not changing the oil, which apparently you are supposed to do often lol) so i was not able to blast any material today :(

better luck tomorrow!

i forgot i got 6 XXXL magnum 1Ks hung today and that was a mission to pull them out of storage and get them all set up for the most part. the room is slowly coming along

doesnt look like much, but the plumbing took forever! still not done yet. trying to get all the rings to feed evenly without installing ball valves and spending a bunch of money.

Use a bigger line for the main trunk of the manifold, then smaller lines from there to each site. That's how to avoid pressure and flow differences from front to back.

i guess my meager drop of 1/8" was not enough to do it lol. i hope rearranging my pumps and making it into a loop solves it. if not i will have to redo the feed line sections

My feed manifold is 1". I took advantage of irritation fittings, in this case 1"x1"x1/2” tees. The 1/2” line then goes to an elbow fitting in the lid of each tubsite. Works very well in my RDWC. I understand you may not need such large size but the basic concept applies.

Another thing you can do is create a loop, vs. single feed line. This effectively doubles the diameter of your pipe by feeding from both ends (given your main line is of sufficient size ). This helps equalize pressure so the guy at the end isn’t getting just a trickle. Put a T and valve at the end so you can bleed the line a flush out.

This helps but he may see lower flow to the ones in the middle than at the end.

You are correct, but in my experience if your main line is large enough and you have enough flow, it should be minimal. As long as GPM out < GPM in, he should be fine.
PPK is very sensitive to proportions. I'd important to have the same flow to all of the sites.

A larger manifold connected to smaller feeder lines addresses this problem directly.

Agree! It may not be obvious but a 1” main line can supply enough flow for 4 0.5” feeder lines (given the sufficient input flow). Hence your manifold!
