Problem with New growth

Ok so yes, it's perfectly normal have some stretching going on using a sealed 1000w in a room to big for it.

5x5 is a nice footprint for 1000w, anything more would likely induce stretch.
For my next grow should I keep my plants closer to the light for less stretch?
This grow I vegged for 6 weeks total, at 3.5 weeks I topped the plant but I kept a 4.5ft gap between the light the whole time as I'm a first time grower and was told to be careful with 1000 watt HPS lights.

You did good for your first time w/1000 hps.

A given amount of light can only cover so much area.

if you raise your plants higher during stretch then yes it will reduce stretch with the said plants however, all the plants on the outside will get even less light due to the intensity increase towards the middle.

If it bothers you, put up some flat white walls, make a 5x5 footprint otherwise just continue what your doing.

Bump

Still nothing. Plants look really healthy but new growth is paper thin leaves

I flushes last week with reverse osmosis and alittle cal/mag. Then fed 7-7-7.

Still vegging right? Drop the tiger bloom for now & just use grow big & big bloom.

Honestly, putting the entire plant/s under daylight (something not orange/blue/purple) then taking a clear picture would help.

They have been vegging for 8 weeks. I' shooting for 1 pound plants

In 16 gallon smart pots

I'e been feeding them Grow Big. Big Bloom and Micro FEED

Basically. It started two weeks ago. I changed my light cycle down 1 hour from 18 hours to 17 hours. But I don' think that should cause the plants to do this. What do you think?
