I absolutely flush after seeing a few amber triches, and use plain, balanced water for the rest of the grow. The buds continue to feed off the energy stored in the leaves, and cause them so look like crap as potassium is depleted

Debate huh? So harassing members in TnT wasn't good enough, you brought your fight over here? If you were really interested in the current state of information you might have read the link I provided for you below (your post that I was replying to is included for context).

You have to flush the plants why is that so hard for people to understand... you get black burning ashes and headaches and it doesn't burn right... it's just awful if you don't how can you not ???

Am being serious actually
The first thing you should do is apologize to Gary for what you said and have the grace to search his posts on the topic before doubling down on such an insensitive blunder. With the sock problem we have around it here it makes you seem precisely like someone we all hated and who just left. So that's why you are getting so much static. You seem suspiciously like someone who loved to be gratuitously mean.

If you want to grow there are tons of great forums on this site. If you are interested in learning about Flushing start here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/when-to-flush.952951/#post-13889904

Dr Who gives the link at the end to the rest of the debate and he's correct. I grow hydro. I don't flush.
Did you read all this before you started a 'debate' on flushing? BTW debating isn't research it's synonymous with arguing.

@Dr. Who maybe you can enlighten him?

Oh boy ... this is not toke n talk miss.

Am here to talk seriously not post GIFs and memes.
I think it's okay posting topics that have already been discussed and debated. It doesn't take long for threads to disappear into the ocean of old threads. I think new threads on old topics, allows noobs to get fresh information, instead of trying to comb through the old threads. I rarely look at posts past the first page, and it can take as little as a day or two to fill up a page with new posts.

These are the forums, after all. There's only so much that can be discussed about growing weed. Questions and topics are bound to be repeated many times.

Especially since the years go by and things change like lights and new hydro systems, methods, nuterients. Like an old computer vs a cutting edge one.

Not sure why folks believe starving a plant in its final and most important profile building stage of flower is in any way beneficial to flavor or the way it burns or the color of the ash. Proper drying & cure has more to do with that than anything regarding nutrients.

As I understand it, if you do low ppm flushing (a little bit of nutes) you can keep the bud growing a bit longer but the thing is you have nutes still in the plant.. so in that case from what I gather is that you now need to cure the bud even longer to get some or all the harshness out of the bud.

With a flush even lower in PPM or near 0 like straight tap it tastes better sooner with less of a cure .. shorter duration to cure and taste better.

I have done low PPM nutes to end 200ppm to even 400ppm and the bud was a bit harsh and took a long time to smoke nicely.

Am just saying this out of actual experience ... this is why I don't understand why people keep using nutrients. That's all ...

If I didn't flush my med people would be pissed at me ! Lol

I'd be willing to bet if you just tapered your feed the last 3-7 days and did a proper dry/cure your med people would thank you.
Can you taste nutrients in your lettuce or tomato? I dont believe farms flush, and they certainly cant "fix" it with a dry or a cure.
Id' like to suggest you try the Lucas Formula (even if loosely). Theres a lot of variations on it, but they are all relatively the same.
I cant stress enough that proper drying and curing are paramount for bringing the best out in your harvested weed, how it burns, and the ash it will produce.

I am growing some hot peppers and herbs utilizing stray light from my hood. My son threw a whole packet of summertime lettuce in a nursery tray and I water with my cannabis plants. I have been harvesting this lettuce every 2-3 days since last week cause its going out of control lol.

I don't taste any nutes or if there is its making the salad taste delicious.
