Like I said, "I voted against Hillary." There is financial assistance I do believe is justified. However, keep in mind, as a disabled Vet I did start a new career and purposely sought out work. I don't believe in free rides but do believe in benefits. Unemployment is a benefit, I collected and I believe others should too. I have fought for people as a manager to be eligible after they've been terminated from my staff.

I don't agree with a lot of Republican or Trump's policies. I especially do not agree with the way he views law enforcement or marijuana. I'm not a Democrat either, thats why I am registered as independent. I had two choices, I remain loyal to the one I chose.

You are banking on the political support that we give veterans. I don't deny that you are entitled to whatever you get.

It's your dismissal of the needs of others that I object to. A kid whose family is food insecure is no less entitled to a benefit of food than you. A person who worked his whole life making an average wage and therefore after raising kids and being productive his whole life, you denigrate because 35 k a year didn't leave him enough for saving for retirement. All this when the 1% who Trump is one of not only has accumulated more and more of this country's wealth but stand to receive more of same from the recent tax overhaul. Yet you still say Trump 2020..

Let me be clear. It's not the help you recieve in terms of medical and financial assistance that I resent of you. It's your callous words about others who are no less deserving and more importantly support for Trump who is literally killing people with his "reforms". That is reprehensible. To put it in your language you are an asshole.

Just don't give us any fake empathy. You suck at the government tit yet would deny help to others.

And then you vote for the worst of all racist and sexist US presidents in the modern era. I really do hope that your benefits get cut.
If my benefits get cut then every veterans does. Now which is it? You believe veterans deserve their benefits or you don't?

The retired Veterans community is a big group. It would hurt any politician who would vote to pass a bill against them, (well maybe not Sen. McCain).

Also, if its privatized, how will they deal with the disabled vets? Some of them could not possibly handle a play to pay system, their injuries are to extensive. I could see them maybe changing Tricare benefits as they already changed the "Tricare for Life" plan where its no longer a completely free medicare supplement.

In recent years the DOD has been improving services. I can not tell you how stunned I was when I called the VA and actually got a same day appointment. After all that bad press they received, I can't see them backtracking to the way they were about 4 years ago and then removing even more services. I have noticed they are narrowing the choices of medications and making it more involved to refill prescriptions for opiates.

McCain). < It doesn't matter - that big group doesn't own as much wealth as the 500.000 or so families who are calling the shots now. Sorry man. you are assuming they care as much about veterans as they do about their wealthy donors. that is your first mistake.

How will those veterans be taken care of if the VA is privatized? Easy - the one's who cannot afford it - will not be taken care of. they will be left to their own luck, bankrupt, poor, without access to the healthcare they were promised when they signed up. Nobody in congress gives a flying fuck because the amount of veterans in congress has sharply declined since military service is not compulsory, and congress is full of 1%ers whose kids do not serve. So THEY DO NOT CARE.

After all that bad press they received, I can't see them backtracking to the way they were about 4 years ago and then removing even more services. I have noticed they are narrowing the choices of medications and making it more involved to refill prescriptions for opiates. - Well the Donald has put the following in his Budget - of the increases to VA spending authorized - 33% increase to spending that currently goes to private health care providers that get reimbursed by the VA. 1.3% increase to the VA Health Service providers.

Make no mistake - Trump intends to privatize the VA. he is already putting in place the budget to move the agency towards an 'insurance' program and dismantle the healthcare provider part of it. Things as they are right now cannot be assumed to continue under Trump. everything about his policies regarding VA care says that the current system will be either defunded, dismantled and liquidated.

Stop assuming that the only thing that changes under Trump is tax policy, and stop assuming you will get a tax cut.

First if you make less than 100k per year you will be paying more in taxes (through reduced deductions) by 2027.

Second - the VA as it exists currently will cease to exist if republican donors get their way. They have already started by modifying which parts of VA care gets money, and which don't.

Trump is sneaking provisions into legislation to eliminate things that greatly benefit YOU and the majority of americans, to in order to get things that greatly benefit HIM and people like him which are a vast MINORITY of americans.

Now you get to look at yourself in the mirror - is your bigotry worth that much? is your hatred of democrats so ingrained in your mind that you will willfully vote away your own lifestyle to benefit people that have multiple planes, multiple houses, boats, cars, and more wealth than they know what to do with?

is it really worth it to destroy the american dream just because you think it is the 'muhrican' thing to vote republican?

It is not overstating it: if trump gets his way millions of american families will get shafted so he and his sons can become richer.. think about that next time you vote. IT is simple - Voting Republican means voting in the interests of a few wealthy men, at the expense of your own well being.

Why is everything all or nothing with you guys?

"Now you get to look at yourself in the mirror - is your bigotry worth that much? is your hatred of democrats so ingrained in your mind that you will willfully vote away your own lifestyle"
or
"is it really worth it to destroy the american dream just because you think it is the 'muhrican' thing to vote republican?"

I do not hate Democrats and in fact voted for Obama his second term, he was the best choice of the two.

I have NEVER voted Republican until this election, (I usually vote the constitution party), but Trump was the best choice of the two. I still stand on the fact that he was and still is the best of the two choices. The Democratic Party still has no one of merit to run against him so . . .

So, the tax cuts are for Gamers, that leaves a lot of "patriots" in a socialized vacuum where the entry fee is unattainable.

You shouldn't leave the wounded on the battlefield. It attracts rats.
Your answer is to bury the bleeding.
