I'm assuming you can read what you posted.

^ That's exactly what is written in your post. I'm not sure how you rationalise that it says the exact opposite of what it actually says! LOL!
No, meaning to say, that excerpt is saying the exact opposite of its premise. I should have been more thorough in my explanation.

Come one... you could have googled, if my statement was correct, and come back here saying: thanks for the information, I DIDN‘T KNOW that!

Instead you said, green light isn‘t effecting the plant, because it‘s reflected. And the article pointed out that most green light is used, not reflected!
The opinion paper says, "The majority of green light is useful in photosynthesis". Then in the very next sentence it says, "Green light is the least efficiently used color of light in the visible spectrum". -- Meaning, the paper is saying the exact opposite.

Plant chlorophyll has little use for green wavelength light. Sure it may use a little, but it uses it inefficiently.

LOL.... and you go on...

Yes it is the least efficient light for PHOTOSYNTHESIS, because chlorophyll can‘t make as much use of it, that red and blue. But a plant isn‘t all about chlorophyll...!

Don‘t you realize, that you are „fighting“ with like everyone else here in this thread for the last 3 pages? It‘s all about the attitude, and how we present ourself. Not about the intention behind...
I'm not fighting. I am merely stating my observations. You guys are taking it offensively. Not my problem.
I think I've been very clear about my premise and what it is I intend to do.

Can you see, that green light is just slightly less used than blue light?!

those arent mutually exclusive, as usefulness and efficiency are wholly distinct parameters

one is talking about utility of spectrum
one is talking about efficiency

thats like saying walking 10 miles to work is useful in getting me there. Walking is the least efficient way to get there

makes sense.
but if the plant is not efficiently using the green light, why give it? from what i understand only 10% of green light is transmitted in through the leaves where the chlorophyll begins to make use of it.

I am not raging, I am head-shaking...
so how about instead of you making every comment directed at me sound condescending, you explain what you're trying to say.

Ok, you are really a stubborn.... have fun, there is absolutely no point in discussion with you, if you think every fact is irrelevant.
I don't think every fact is irrelevant. I just look at what is presented to me without explanation and interpret it as I see it. -- Your citation for example says what I interpret as contradictory statements.

Just read a book about plants biology. It will explain it better than I could with my limited vocabular.

I am the 3rd guy now leaving the discussion with you! Seems there is a common point for all of us: you ;)

Huh? Really?

It‘s absolutely not only about energy, a plant is producing way more substances in different ways.
This is an example of someone asking a reasonable question, and then you condescendingly respond. When you respond in such a way, it gets peoples back's up.

A butter knife, a steak knife, and a chainsaw can all be used to dismember bodies.
A butter knife is the least efficient.

I think it's "Opposite Day" today!

Sorry, but I guess there's no real point in arguing with someone who interprets everything everyone writes as the complete opposite of what they're trying to convey . . .

You can already find some of the answers in this thread. Yeah, you even stated them out yourself...

Why? I've grown marijuana without using much green spectrum at all with great success. Let me know when you get those green spectrum bulbs. I'd like to see the results.

Ok sport. Have a good one.
