If you hung that beast at least 4' above your canopy... why no?! But it's a 5000°k COB for photographer.
The first black COB holder I've seen untill now.
But without a datasheet it's hard to say how efficient it is.
You can get powerful CRI97 COB's also from Citizen, Bridgelux or Luminus what means you can build a true 500w light for less than 500$. In addition, it is only a point light source which has many disadvantages (needed distance, uniformity, cooler requirements). 10 COB's á 50w (CXM22 / CRI97) would be probably more efficient, cheaper and distributes the light better.

10 100W 4' foot Samsung strips.... cost less than that.Ok, it is only 80CRI...

Am I reading that right?, 143 ish L/Watt ? not too shabby, growing with it may not make sense, but damn, that is impressive in such a small package. The heat sink is comical lol

Thanks for the info people.
Yeah i figured it wasn't tailored for growing but what a monster eh :)
Still, if anyone makes a youtube video of them trying to grow with this i bet they would get a lot of hits ;)

Nice video. Heat sink is crazy must be big part of cost. Light is bright wonder what the distribution looks like?
Guy loves his purchase that is for sure.

That looks like a beast of an led awsome preformance based on looks alone.

But man i would die if i had to hear that fan .
Would definitely need to fix that before it would go anywhere near my room.

Awsome vid though thanks

Just 1 Sumsung F-series 4 foot strip (double row) pushing 19,000 lumens according to datasheet. So 23,000 lumens from 500 watt = horrible efficiency
