My Purple Envy

View attachment 4070323

I watered and fed everyone except the flower tent that was lights off at the time I could get in the garden overnight. I adjusted lights in the veg tent and the 4x8 to get back to 30" from the canopy all around. This distance is working wonderfully right now very happy with this change. I topped the Purple Envy, the Vienna Skunks, and the Jelly Bean tonight as well. Also, I topped off a few pots from the 4x8 with more Promix. I also misted the clones, lost 3 so far out of 12, and I think 2 more won't make it but everything else should be fine. I am waiting to get one more AutoCob to hang over the Turbo Kloner I have and then running that with the Flora Nova Bloom, I have had good results like this in the past.

I did defoliate and do LST. The sour hounds all started to flower already so they needed their early flower defol and they got it. I think that covers everything for this update.

Thanks for checking in

Check out the scrog yes

I have never done a SCROG before and my initial intention was to just add the net for support and add a second layer as the plants stretch more. But I have found myself weaving branches and tucking others. I ordered a double sided tape on Amazon to tie the plants down to the net/cage etc. I almost started tying them down today but decided to wait another day or so. The dark plasma is taking up 3/4 of this space easily. I really wish I had gone with my original plan of just running her alone in a true SCROG she's a bushy beast and I had my eye on her before the plants sexed from the beginning. Also because of how I clean my branches up with my usual growing there is really nothing to lollipop right now. It just felt natural to bend some branches over. I'm really excited about the grow I feel as I am starting to get dialed in here at this location. I can say getting a handle on your grow as far as temps humidity bugs etc can have a much more profound affect on your grow than what type of light you use. I will say everyone should do living soil for at least six months to a year. You learn so much on how to read your plants and I just feel a lot more confident using nutrients now than I ever did using them in the past. It feels good to be in control of the grow in the driver's seat and not just holding on hoping for the best. Example my bloom booster says not use it the first two weeks of flower. My dark plasma is moving along at a faster pace than the other plants, I decided to start it a week early based on the amount of pistils already showing. I feel this will make a difference. This is a read I would not have caught or acted on before. It's these little things that add up and improve your garden as you get better but more importantly as you learn more. I really feel there are people here doing things with technology and growing styles that will end up becoming popular and greatly change how people grow period not just with mmj.

I share to learn and I always show when it's shitty so I'm gonna toss pics up like a mofo when I am happy you know. I hope I fill the net too just because someone told me (member) in private conversation that I never would with the plants so small. So if nothing else just to prove them wrong and give them shit about it right :)

Hope all is good and if you start a journal on the next grow toss me a link huh I'm excited to see how it goes for you. You are pushing the limits to higher watts per square ft and I want to see how it goes as I'm going towards less light per square ft and have the healthiest garden I think I have had as a whole in quite some time I am also finding it somewhat easier this time using nutes. And it's the same line i originally started growing with which I find funny. I am really liking using the pro mix BX straight up too. All the plants are in 3 gallon pots also as their final homes and this is much smaller than I was doing in the past and I'm still filling my tents so im happy.

Good luck brother :)

This is my second time doing 30" away from the canopy and my plants have never been healthier just food for thought

So i had some help this morning and took advantage. I tied down the Dark Plasma on the net bit not yet on the other two plants gonna wait for them to get a bit taller.

In the veg tent I transplanted the viable cuts and the seedlings. They were fed and watered and got a foliar of Method 1 pps. All of the roots were healthy and white very happy with that. The second tray for the floor in the 4x8 is here and I will get that in later tonight when the lights come on.

Im glad to see this run is being good to you Evil. Hows them Purple Envy coming along?
Man sorry for the delay just seeing this now. Unfortunately I culled the purple envy today. This is the second fem Bean I have started and it just grows weak. First time in organics under HID and now with LED and nutes. Not sure what's up. But my Vienna skunk and the jelly Bean which is one of my crosses we're not germinated until 2-3 weeks after the purple envy and they were all easily twice the size of the purple envy. When I went to chop the stem at the soil level I said let me see something and she pulled right out barely any root mass started same as the last one last year from the same pack. So I don't know what's up but I have too many genetics on hand to be nursing shit along and space is premium as always. She got the chop and everyone else got a transplant.

Basically what it boils down too. Like I just put away the beans from one of my new crosses. Have yet to grow any of these. It's Satori X Blue Harley. I have a photo film canister full to the top of them. I will most likely never get through all of these lol. And this is one of like 5 or 6 strains now, and I already back crossed my first strain once and need to grow those beans out. Then there's the stuff I have purchased in the past which is more than I'd care to admit. So no time to be wasting fucking around because honestly had the plant moved along as a runt and flowered even if the smoke was different I wouldn't have kept the strain so why waste time. I still have the rest of the pack too not like it was my last bean but for now it can go to the back of the line. 2 times same result I'll deal with it later (maybe)

Man what a night overnight. I've been dragging ass for a few days having withdrawals doc discontinued one of my meds last week thank God for the cannabis or I'd be in a living hell right now. Pretty much I'm asleep or in the garden for almost a week now lol.

Anyways only putting up pics of the flower tent today trying to space out the pics to show more of a difference each time and not bombard you guys so much. Plus I see interest in the thread declining so posting less often equals less work.

I watered and fed everything in the grow over night. I also topped every single top of the plants on the right of the 4x8 so basically all my Skywalker's and one of the Auto Gorillas. I'm curious to see how this compares. These are my biggest Skywalker's ever and these are the first auto seeds I have bred and grown. Really interested to see how it turns out. I put some work in on the flower tent as well and started to tie down the two smaller plants in the tent with the dark plasma. Being that I wasn't planning to SCROG I am happy with how this tent is coming along.

I have had some broken branches etc but hey that's part of the game. I just feel much more confident as a grower this run and free and just having fun doing it my way.

Here's a pic of the flower tent when I opened it up

IMG_20180113_061902.jpg

And here's a pic before I watered and fed but after moving the two smaller plants around and starting to tie them down some as well. These velcro ties are the shit!!

IMG_20180113_065701.jpg

That's all for now thanks for checking in hope everyone has a good weekend.

That's gonna be one hell of a canopy... Good work!
Thanks brother, I have never done this before so still can't picture it lol. When I grow my usual way and do my topping defol etc I know what will come as I am "constructing" my plants if you will, this is a whole new ball game and most people would give me crap because I just zip tied the net in the corners but it's working so far LOL........ fingers crossed for a decent yield. Three strains I have never grown before and one of them my own creation and the first girl of the cross :)
