Fungus gnats in my soil....

Gnatrol has eliminated nearly all my gnats in a couple days. I used just over a tablespoon/gal. I've been using Dunks for years but they don't compare.
I love it when a plan comes together. I noticed this morning those little shits,fungus gnats we're jumping around on the soil of one of my girls. Ran around town with my head cut off trying to find something good. The local Hydro store turned me onto Gnatrol!

Gnatrol was the first thing I've ever tried for fungus gnats. I use the yellow sticky traps of I have more than the occasional one visible flying around but other than that I've never had to use anything but Gnatrol.

Think I'll give the Gnatrol a try. I am able to keep them
in check somewhat with bottom watering and a top layer
of dry peat but I need a more effective control.
The scorpions keep most of my insect problems to a minimum
but I think might have to do some cross-breeding if I am going
to get the little bastards to fly.

Last night I poured 1/2 teaspoon in a gal of water.... Poured that on the soil of 2 of 4 Plants. Got up at 4:30am and had 1 gnat left. I saw at least 10 yesterday. I didn't think the Gnatrol killed adults..... But anyway I feel confident that it's working. I sprayed the top soil this morning of all the girls and laid out a couple sticky spikes. Also I noticed NO difference in my plants this morning.....no ill effect or is it affect.

Affect=acted upon
Effect=the result of a specific action/affect

Gnatrol is another b.t. product so it's a natural bacteria that is an effective pesticide for larvae. I use Gnatrol for fungus gnat larvae (and yellow sticky traps) and Thuricide for caterpillars.

Gnats can and do come into your Grow from any compost or peat or castings and are in the great outdoors everywhere. I also have a small bog garden with wetland plants sedges and horsetail and such and they love that place. Fern crowns seem to be a favorite habitat also. I was told no harm would come to the worms with MicrobeLift.

Shallow pans of water containing a few drops of dish soap go a long way in the elimination of gnats, and aphids.
Place them near your ladies, it's free.
They are attracted to the smell, and then drown.
If they get real bad, out comes the shop vac.

Everything comes out once a week or so floors, walls
drip trays can be disinfected after a thorough
vacuuming. Traps help as does a wetting agent or
detergent. All the little things add up. Best to live with a
few than to get too aggressive. Glue em, drown em and
generally humiliate them though.

Microbelift destroyed my gnats. I used 4 drops per gallon from a dropper bottle.
I've been using Gnatrol on everything from seedlings on as well as story mixes with no issues or any effect at all on plants except more roots at transplant which could be related.

What happened to your plants?

The plants have been incredibly healthy. I just started a new worm tray and used it in there too. The worms haven’t slowed down at all.

Will Gognats hurt the beneficials when watered in? I think it's just cedar oil if I'm not mistaking.
