315cmh in a 2x4 hmmmmm!!! Interesting

The bud tech is a 200w twin vero29 & passive with dimmability Screenshot_2018-03-13-15-31-41.png

The timber range of lights have had my attention for a long time but one I pay shipping & duties' the vero v4 400w ends a fortune I bet? The light costs around the £420 mark?

Whoops. Skimmed your post and missed that.

Yeah, get a bar style light. The ones from Timber are great, but yeah, shipping/duties will be steep. I like that Budtech light. Never seen it before - looks nice. But at 200 watts, you're only going to be pushing 25 watts per sq. foot, which is shy of the recommended minimum of 30 watts/sq. foot.

You could run the budtech with an additional 50 to 100 watts of strip lighting, and you'd be crushing it. Go check the LED subsection of the Indoor forum for some ideas. There are a ton of builds there, and I know there are some links as to where to get strips and drivers for cheap in Europe. They're easy to build, and the guys in the LED section are really helpful if you have any questions.

Check Out California Light works.
I bought a couple 550s and controller and I am extremely happy right now, they're taking over my old 600 HPs and are working very well. My ladies are reaching from top to bottom for the lights, the bottom buds are getting bigger than I've seen yet.
CLW has many options and their warranty is great, 5 years on most lights and a 90 day money back if your not happy in anyway.
My power consumption is down and the heat is nothing compared to my old HPS, It's really unreal, Been waiting Years for the Right LED. can't wait to see what is next.......
Good luck hope you find what your looking for...

diyled also looks like a great way to go. do your research and I am sure you will be happy with whatever you decide.....
I wish I would of looked at diyled, but I never seen that until today.....

That budtech is like a UK timber.

I have the vero gen 7 fixture in a 20 x 36 x 62 inch tent and i have to dim it. So it is plenty of light and it is a good quality.

Stick to local if you can and avoid that terrible VAT. Greedy bastards.

Hps killer... hmm still waiting for that to happen but apparently one off thrse days soon yer guys....

Define reasonable price, over a quid a watt is not reasonable by any grow light standard, holy shit thats verging on daylight robbery!

So the person is in UK and any imports get tax hammered (VAT)

I would personally go timber all the way forever. I love the light. I think it is my favorite of all time. But in UK the tax could be 50% of the cost.

The fixture shown is similar just a couple of gens back. It will grow :D

Actually those are gen 7 veros on that budlight too. Too bad they didnt have a 3 light fixture that would fit a 2 x 4 tent a lot better.

The 550 is a great little light and one of the better blurples currently available, but it suffers from a small footprint and a high(ish) price tag.
Going on week 3 now and I can tell the difference Big time, the White hairs are much larger and the buds down lower on the plant are a lot bigger than under my 2 600 hps. So I am not sure about the footprint being small, Because the room has not changed and the flowers are doing much better, The two I have are covering a 4x8 Grow bench, The Problem being now is my ladies are too Tall, I need to put them in now at a shorter height. But from what I am seeing so far I am very happy, What I really want to see now is my Power bill. ;)
Happy Grow all

Get 3 or 4 Samsung gen3 100W 4Ft strips on a 320W driver or use 6 or 8 50W 4ft strips on same.
I use 3 x 100, works great. Light output is more than a 400W in lumens, don't have a PAR meter, but plants are thriving. You will be in about $250 after buying frame, switches, and wires.

I think I'm going for the 4x vero29 300w from DIYLEDUK for £279.99 I can't go wrong I think?

I lm also going to but some aluminium for a frame to hold the 4x cobs but also incorporate a couple 30w cree xte multi color chips n to a custom size heat sink boosting the par a little and adding a broader spectrum? Just a few diy ideas for my spare time but I think if will be cool?

The cree xte 30w pucks are £20 each
Aluminium frame 2m lengths x4 £14
Driver £30
Total watts 360
Total cost£ 343

I could even scrap the puck idea and add some xpg3''s in the mix instead?

Lots of possibility but' this would be my first diy some maybe keep it simple HU!
