Too much plant material dude. What mesh screen? How long are you shaking for?

Family member of mine spent time in morroco in the 60s, watched the berebers make it live. So trust me I know the science of kief to hash alchemy ;)

Use at .least 100 micron mesh, if you want quantity and quality do 2 passes of bud

First for the infamous zero zero (hence my nickname) you must only tap the buds on the screen for maybe 30 seconds to a minute, the harder you shake or longer u do it allows more plant to get in kief. So the trick for purity is soft gentle short shake.

Do that first pass and collect the kief then do a second pass with longer shaking and harder for 2nd class or what the morocanns call pollen brick. The zero zero you will always find in form of oval balls or what southern euros call ass balsl where they smugelled from moroco in ppls butt..... But its the gooey stick honey blonde hash better then compressed pollen,

What you dont want is combination hash the comerical mass shipping hash you get for 3 dollars a gram in europe, I mean if its decent ok it does the job but even if not cut with crap, its just like scwag sometimes.

Hash in america very rare, especially good hash, and sorry no offense colorado or cali but stick to wax and rosin, leave original hash techniquest to moroccans libanese and nepal please....

I don't know man. I've had lots of really really good hash made locally. I don't doubt that European and Moroccan hash is great. They have been making it for 1000's of years, but some of the new techs are great. I've had water hash that will tear your face off...the full melt that can be made from screens at home has to be comparable to any zero zero that comes out of Afghanistan. The terp profiles that come from north American strains bring a new level to the flavor profiles of hash being made here.
Rosin is cool and all, the fact you can dab it and it's an organic version of shatter, but I'll take full melt unpressed dry sift all day long.

Water hash? You mean bubble hash? Havent tried it yet but I doubt it matches old school.

Like I said yes you guys got the tech, but after seeing the video on leafly of that hipster in colorado pressing prolly 1000 g block of kief with no heat...... WHAT A WASTE OF GOLD DUST OMG

That tech is great for wax and shatter, but for hasish itself never in america have I had anything decent unless I made it myself.... Give me mexi brick Ill turn crap into good hash, give me better buds and Ill fool anyone its true sputnik ;)

Btw in morcco for over a decade they have been making crops with Ak and White seeds from amsterdam dude, not just classic moroccan hash plant..

Water hash has been made since the 70's. Check out Roberts Clark's book called HASHISH. It's got a written history of hash.
And no doubt there's lots of shitty stuff out there, but there are some very talented hash makers in North America. Check out Nica Selecta, Frenchy canoli, bubble man to name a few.
The growers and hash makers of Nepal and Afghanistan, Morocco, are traditionalists.The quality is definitely amazing. I'm not denying that, but I bet there is stuff being produced in North America that is on par with anything that is made there. I've smoked tonnes of imported hash, I lived in Halifax for a long time... that's a major port where European gear made it into north America.. and I can honestly tell you that none of the Jamaican, Lebanese, Morracan, Afghanistan stuff that I've smoked ever melted with the purity that my dry sift does.
Not trying to start a debate on traditional hash making techniques and modern styles. There is it alot to be said about hand rubbed charas and cream from Nepal, and India, but don't knock the quality of North American because we do things differently.

I want to wrap a balloon with parchment or even just try a balloon or otherwise mechanically creat an abundance of static electricity.

Like an electro magnetic crane but for
Sift.

can i use my ice water hash bags as a screen to make this dry sift? or are the flat screens in metal frame the way to go?

They make those screens with both metal and fabric. Both have advantages and disdvantages.. you can order silk screen off Amazon in the proper sizes and make your own screens or you can order the screens from fresh headies or wacky bags.
Don't think you can use bubble bags to dry sift... at least I've never seen it. I know dudes use them to make dry ice hash tho. If you are planning on getting into dry sift you need screens.
