So, Acapulco Gold is up and oriented toward the light. Slight bit of leaf damage from being caught in that seed shell, unable to breathe, but she’s recovering nicely. And, of course, the Shoreline Bx3 is just chuggin’ along. Just water yesterday, to disperse what I gave her Saturday more evenly and rewet the microbial life.

The Shoreline is rooting so aggressively that I may have to pot up within the week, despite only being officially a week old today. Acapulco Gold is thriving. You can definitely tell it’s a Sativa; she stretches of her own accord, regardless the light intensity. Because it’s looking fully established, we’ll call Friday it’s official first day and place it one week behind the Shoreline. She’ll probably stretch a lot, so she’s fine to flip alongside the Shoreline, whenever that one matures.

Potted Shoreline up and top dressed with:

-1.5 tsp Uprising Grow
-1 tsp Uprising Foundation
-1 tsp Elemental CalMag
-0.5 tsp Nitro Bat Guano
-0.5 tsp OregonismXL

I gave the Acapulco Gold a small fraction of the Uprising Grow, Elemental CalMag, and OregonismXL. I also added a liberal amount of Diatomaceous Earth to each. I saw a few springtails fucking around, and as relatively harmless as they are, they can fuck right off.

Mixed 36oz of water with the following:

-1 tsp Buddha Grow
-1 tsp Trinity
-1 tsp Amino Aid

Shoreline is now forming the first nodes of lateral branches at all currently mature nodes (at least 2 separate node intersections, obviously bilaterally.)

I realize this might seem like a lot, but all of them have low NPK ratings so that you can do what I am currently doing, which is varying the food source. Amino Aid is specifically to increase uptake of nutrients and for B vitamins, and Trinity is a microlife catalyst.

Quick Acapulco Gold Update
Veg Cycle Week 2 Day 2

Finally seeing some more vigorous rooting from the Acapulco Gold. I’m sure in a week or so, I’ll probably be putting her in her flowering pot, as well. None of these roots were visible yesterday. Growing pretty good for being only about 4 days above ground.

So, the Shoreline is just a beast. Growing super fast. Loving the dank scent as it matures. The structure of the Acapulco Gold is very clearly Sativa. The first few sets of leaves are strangely fat-bottomed, but the structure is definitely Sativa. I’ll probably go off of whenever the Shoreline matures when I decide to flip them. I haven’t watered yet, so they might seem slightly dehydrated.

Most sativas I have grown start out with wide leaves, but get more thin as they mature and stretch

Pretty sure this Shoreline Bx3 is male. Which is actually what I wanted, because I want to breed with the pollen, to other strains like the SR-71 PK x Sour Diesel, and probably a cross of this Acapulco Gold that I’m also going to cross with Kali Mist pollen. I could be wrong, but either way, I can’t believe it’s throwing preflowers 3 weeks from seed. I also have some of Shoreline Genetics Bx1s (Shoreline OG x Shoreline) that came from a friend, who is free to identify themselves if they want. I do my best to avoid dropping dimes. But, I’m probably going to cross the Bx3 to the Bx1, so I have a good stock of them for my own personal medicine. Can’t go wrong with legit old school genetics you can’t really find anymore in your arsenal. Always a conversation starter, eh? Thanks, @shorelineOG!

So, fuck the cycle week thing. The Shoreline is most definitely male, and both a beautiful and vigorous one, at that. So, he’s getting bred. Acapulco Gold, then to SR-71 PK x Sour Diesel. I MAY hit that Acapulco Gold x Shoreline with the Kali Mist pollen I have, just to balance the cross toward a more Sativa profile. Also going to inbreed the Bx3 to a female Bx1 to make myself some Shoreline seeds for my own personal collection, and to preserve the lineage of this dying strain.

End of Veg

I’ve decided to flip the Acapulco Gold to flower after 3 weeks of veg. Being a Sativa and requiring 13 weeks, I am sure she’ll reach a good size. I already flipped the Shoreline at its 3rd week, and it’s a confirmed male. The Acapulco Gold’s throwing preflowers with pistils, so she’s a female.
