The final two NB were both showing male this am. So I got 6 females out of the 10 pack. So for notes on NB it is the first strain I ever recall growing that all of the females were the first to show.
Cheers :)
females poping before males, watch out for hermis

Why are you thinking that is a sign of hermi?
Given the source of the genetics and the fact that it is that breeders original public offering from 2001 I believe . I highly doubt this is some sort of hermi sign.
Cheers :)
hey that's great just speaking of what I have seen over the yrs, just watch for balls 10-14 days into 12-12 on those early females

10 days after flip for the NB and some of the SK. All Dreamcatchers are now under the big light lol

The 5 Dreamcatchers . You can tell which two had a two day head start.

NB

The KS that is my number 1 pick so far. Really like the structure. Haven't seen this particular type in many years.
DSCN7123.JPG

Still early on in flowering obviously, but I am happy with things so far. Only change I would make is zero bloodmeal and less Alfalfa meal.
The soil mix was for a longer veg. Hence the Blueberry side of things showing leaf sensitivity. Even with the shortened veg they are coming around. But ya the original Blueberry is notorious for nute sensitivity.
The last 3 Dreamcatchers were put into a mix with zero Bloodmeal and half as much alfalfa meal then the rest.
Cheers :)

There’s some nice variation in the KS. Some shorter kush lookers and some skunk stretchers. I found lots of floral structures too. Just like everything Peak sells, very solid. I love your thread man.

Day 12 of 12/12 for the NB. Gave em a lower trim job and watered those that needed it. Thought I took a pic of each individual one but seems like I missed #3 so will have to wait till next time.

NB #1 & #2 are the tallest with the most advanced branching so far.
NB#1

NB#2

NB#4 looks like it is all the DJShort Blueberry. (which is the blueberry at peakseedsbc)
DSCN7141.JPG
Numbers 5&6&the missing #3 are all shorter with less branching then #'s 1&2.
NB#5

NB#6

So other then the obvious #4 blueberry leaner, I am guessing that NB#1&#2 are going to be NL leaning. With #3,#5,and #6 looking like the mix pheno.
Every strain from peak I have run so far all seem to have 3 phenos. One leaning to each parent, and one of the mix. Other then c99 which seemed to have just the two.
Cheers :)

Apologies for the lack of updating. My lap top of ten years finally bit the biscuit and the one I now have does not want to read the card from the camera I had been using, and I do not have the old style cable the camera takes. I have still been taking pictures and will continue to do so. I will upload them all once I can.
The NB and SK are doing great. The citrus/berry smell from the NB already is impressive. (The two taller ones smell like an orange extract lol) As is the stalk size and growth of the SK. Not much smell yet on those.
Ended up with 3 males and two herms out of the 5 DC. (my first experience with putting immature plants in flowering)
2 c99 females and one male so far waiting on one to show still of the 4.
Have 11 seeds each, of two other strains just germ. They will veg under the t5s till the 1000w opens up.
Cheers :)

Do you train your plants at all or do you just let them grow

I generally do not train my plants during the pheno hunting stage. Other then trimming the lowers, roughly two weeks into flowering, and trying topped once or untopped, I just let them do their thing during this phase. Once a pheno is declared keeper worthy, I then start my experimenting with training, nutes, pruning, etc to help dial her in. What I have been sharing here is simply the seed popping and growing out phase.
Cheers :)

I've got my tent,a small 2x2x3... I'm using cfl lights, eight of them right now...one exhaust fan and three to circulate air and try to keep the heat down, and right now it's almost ninety degrees in there!!! The lights aren't burning my plant but it seems like it is way too hot in there...the plant is drinking water like a man in the desert! I'm using organic container and potting mix with worm castings and regular soil... I used to use some miracle gro until I got a sample of some mammoth p... I kinda mix them together... I need to get some pH strips so I can stay up on that... I wouldn't know what I was doing if I never decided that I would learn more about this instead of just freestyling it... I'm sure that I would have done more harm than good... Thanks to all of the people who are willing to help me and others out with our beginnings in this world of weed, may your crops grow tenfold!!!

My first word of advice would be to get rid of the MG. You could pretty much use anything else and it will be better. But if simplicity , cost, ease of growing, and quality are what you are after then I highly suggest you read up on pre mixed water only soils. You are on the right track with the worm castings. They are one of my fav additives.
Second would be that in my book without C02 anything above 80 is no good temp wise.So do what you can to get those down. Also I suggest t5ho over the cfl.
Do not be afraid to make a thread under the indoor or newbie section with your issues either. Many more knowledgable folks then myself I am sure would be happy to help.
Cheers :)

Yeah I'm not too keen on the mg either, I just wanted to get a quick start of the growing process...ive got some soil balance pro on the way and some auto skunk and pineapple slick and nl x big bud auto coming from the original sensible seed company...thi t plant that I have growing now came back from the dead, literally!!! It's a seed found in some og kush that I had... there was once two but now there is one.

I'm doing this to pass the time until the real goods get here.

And now they're here... what do I do with the plant that's growing now? I don't know if it is male or female!!! Dilemma!!!

Figured I would share some shitty webcam shots seeing as how I cant get this lap top to read my camera card. Weird because they are both old from right around the same time.
First up is the KS with the extra long fan leaf stems I have liked from the beginning.

Next is a couple NB

And the NB I pegged as the BB leaner. The smell sure says thats right lol

Again sorry for the shitty fucking pics.
