First grow doing 2 mama mia, 2 blueberry and an afghan kush ryder. 5x5x6.5 tent, 1000w mh and hps, 7 gallon pots, FF happy frog and ocean forest soil with growstone instead of perlite for drainage, gh flora trio for nutes and that's the gist of it.

Dropped seeds in jiffy pellets 6 days ago, by 3 days in all had sprouted, slight stretch issues due to 2 weak 26w cfls, said screw it and put them under the mh dialed down to 400w since tying the lamp to the ceiling wasn't worth the headache after a few days of adjusting. Moved to solo cups with only happy frog soil seems to be doing well, first real leaves are starting to outgrow the cotelydons. Got the lamp at 15" away doing 18/6 hours, temp is around 76-77 degrees rh 35%-40% and if anyone actually reads this thread what is normal growth like, cuz they 2-3 inches tall after less than a week from going straight into the peat pellet, just seems to be the cfl stretch more than anything unless I got some Usain bolt plants. Waiting to transfer into 2 gal fabric pots then 7 gal. That's just about all the info so far. Also I've looked around and I know it's one of those impossible questions but how much would this setup yield? Jw for second opinions, hoping for 2 lbs if it goes very well even if it's a big goal for first grow. Ask questions, compare notes, let's all grow some trees.

Second set of serrated leaves just starting to peak out, thinking 1/4 cup of water per watering is good for solo cups.

It's been almost 9 days from seed and the roots have started hitting the sides of the cups I'm using (clear) probably going to transplant later today or tomorrow, I'm also thinking of putting the single auto I'm doing directly into the final 7 gal smart pot as they don't like too many transfers so I've heard, er, read. The rest I'll be dropping into 2 gal smarts was thinking some ocean forest at the bottom or sides and happy frog in a layer around the transplant site to ease them into the hotter soil, and I'll be mixing around 20% growstone into the mix as a perlite replacement, any tips opinions or advice is appreciated. :bigjoint:

Holy fuk. Just transplanted into 4, 2 gallon and 1, 7 gallon pot(s) and gotta say that's a decent workout tryna dump soil through a tiny hole in a 40 pound bag, I would've done it outside and opened it more but due to family was forced to do so in private and prevent as much spillage as possible, but at least this only needs to happen twice or so

After transplant, they seem to be doing very well, one plant, the first to pop actually, is even praying to the light, wide 'Y' shape I've read that's just a sign everything is ideal and pretty sure I nailed that transplant the roots were starting to hit the sides of the cups maybe hit and go an inch down or so dunno about the theory of letting roots build around a little more to increase width as opposed to height but better too early than too late I guess. I'm gonna assume I have no comments cuz I'm doing a badass job :blsmoke:

People don't comment on bullshit picture less posts.

Also when you have one huge run on paragraphs , it makes it harder to figure out what the fuck random though your on.

-Fix your grammar.

Fair point on the grammar, as far as pictures, the site isn't letting me select files to post. Maybe it's a mobile thing, I'll have to try on a desktop sometime.

Idk why it wasn't letting me upload before, but now it is so here's some pics. May take some when lights go off for better quality, but they're a week from sprout not too much detail to see yet. From left to right, mama mia, blueberry, afghan kush ryder.

Thanks man, lol I got the newb grower that's screaming at me to water board them and the smart me that's back handing the newb across the face. All while the drill sergeant is yelling through a megaphone for the second set of leaves to get out. (Lol a glance into the turmoil of my diseased mind) but anyway nothing much new. Using a 16 oz water bottle to water whenever soil starts to get dry I think that's about right. Here's a couple pics right before lights on for real color.

Pictures or it didn't happen? Are you 12? Do you also only read picture books too? Instead of coming on aggressive for no reason, next time try just asking for pictures. Grammar and sentence structure aside, I didn't find it all that challenging to follow the OP's thoughts.

Lol thanks man, was more record keeping rather than discussion so I wasn't even thinking of grammar, more just putting my scattered thoughts down.

Also make sure there isn't anything preventing the light from going all the way up to the top supports. I didn't and it was a super hassle to adjust it, the plants were too unstable to move around! Was so nervous adjusting anything after 2 months of growth.

Lol yeah, I made sure when the light is all the way up everything fits, there's like a foot and a half between the glass and the top of the tent cuz the ratchets and such, was hoping less so I'd have more grow height but oh well. (Although I think I did the ratchets backwards, idk which would be easier but trying to reach the very top of the tent for any adjustments seemed like it'd be more of a pain than having the ratchets hooked to the light itself)

I say give your plan a shot. that's how I started my first time too. just for thought, I eventually tied my light to the top of the tent and the plants reached for the light. as I went from 600-750-1000-1200 on the dimmer for the ballast the plants stretched up to the light and then as they got closer they stopped stretching. worked great for 6wk veg and the flower stretch.

Do you mean you did that in veg or after switching to flower? I might be gaining like half a foot if I did that so it's more trouble than its worth cuz there's always gonna be some space between the two for the hanging system. I really want to get a perpetual so I can cut times in half cuz I'm just so bored nothing to do but watch grass grow lol.

I did it like week 8, but next grow will do it from the start. just make sure you can cool the hood well. I plan on growing mostly in winter and using the cold outside air to cool my hood. You can control height by number of weeks vegging and/or topping. I topped once after the 5th node.

Height isn't too big a deal for me I was just worried about it at first cuz it was kinda like "ok got 6 feet, no wait lights, 5 feet, oh yeah pots 4 feet, wait can't burn them 2 feet" but I was just going into a spiral over thinking it, but 2-3 feet of budz :weed:
