Keeping away hares and badgers. pee?

Hey everyone, as planting out time speedily approaches in this area, I'm wondering how to keep away hares and badgers from a spot. Last season they uprooted and nibbled quite a few (I used a different spot last year).

Will human urine be a good deterrent? I know it works for deer. we have a composting toilet, with a separate tank for the pee, so I can easily collect 5-10 gallons.

Anyone here have any experience with that? Any other ideas (must be organic) ?

Thanks!

comes with a different set of pests, herbivores do not like the smell of blood meal, but every cat, dog, racoon, and possum in a square mile will come dig in your patch

and be a man, don't poison animals. if you want to get rid of them, at least get a good air gun and take care of it personally

While i see rabbits i never have problems with them.
Maybe its the tall growbags that keep them uninterested, or maybe they are just really into my blackberry bushes.

I also have dogs so nothing hangs out with impunity.

Except these goddamn moles.

Hate them

Pour some anti freeze in a bowl. Animals will be attracted to it. That’ll take care of any problems you have.
While I applaud your display of ingenuity, you seem to have overlooked ethics in the equation. This is not only morally vacant and beyond negligible, this is very likely also criminal. I can take a joke, but don’t actually fucking do this. As cannabis enthusiasts, I think we all realize we have to work with the planet, and this is more in line with the actions that destroy it, which we normally collectively oppose.

When I lived in town my cat got out and found some antifreeze.

I woke up to my cat pissing and puking on me, puddles of antifreeze puke
All over.

By that time all he could do is sit with his head cocked and stare off while
Evacuating.

Pretty brutal way to go.

Naturally we had him put down immediately.

Really sorry. Poisoning’s a coward’s way to kill, anyway. If you really have to cull something, have the balls and the decency, honor it, by doing it personally. The fact is, though, deer and rabbits and such are a risk which is par for the course regarding outdoor guerrilla or otherwise unguarded/ungated grows. You can’t kill an animal for acting in accordance with nature, particularly when you are in their territory.
