Very Potent Nepali Hashish killed Bruce Lee

Hashish is to weed, what crack cocaine is to powder cocaine
Not even close.... crack and coke although both being forms of coke are not even in the same ballgame effect or harm wise. Never make the mistake of thinking it is just stronger coke... It is a demon that takes over your mind and all it wants is more crack... spent half my salary the first night I tried it.

FYI there was no chemical fertilizers in Nepal in1973. Infact there was even no electricity back then. So there is a zero possibility that Nepalses hash would be laced with any pesticides or other chemical nutes back in 1973. Hope this guy got the help he needed. LMFAO

having read the full medical report of his death (and certificate) and having spoken to a few in the bruce lee estates inner circle (in my martial past) I think this is 'as close' to the real story as we can get:

Bruce was a fanatic when it came to training, he also experimented on himself to push the boundaries of his training (although he was not formally medically trained - he was breaking boundaries so to speak). These experiments included taking steroids 'before' they were really seen as a negative (just seen as a suppliment), he also reduced/removed specific vitamins from his diet (in the belief it would improve him).
Specifically he cut vitamin D from his diet (this was really his undoing), removing vitamin D from his body caused his brain to shrink. In and of itself not a death sentence per se. However, if a high dose of vitamin D is introduced at this point (while the brain is 'shrunk') then the brain rapidly expands back to size (patient will experience strong headaches too) ...however, the brain first over expands before contracting back to normal size. This can cause issues with the brain sack (and brain itself) being pieced by the internal skull ridges and cause bleeding on the brain (some people are more prone to this then others).

Weeks before he died Bruce did take some hash (hey! it was a sign of the times, man ;) at a restaurant. Later (fyi - cannabis is a high source of vitamin D), complaining of a headache he went to the toilet where he promptly collapsed. At hospital the doctors connected the issue to vitamin D causing a brain swell and warned Bruce not to deny his body vitamin D as it would leave him vulnerable to any food/substances that contain a good dose of vitamin D (like playing Russian roulette). Besides, I believe Bruce also had a genetic disposition which made him more vulnerable to these brain swells/seizures.

Sadly, although he reduced the hash, while filming in honk kong he went to the house of an actress to *cough, cough* 'talk' about filming. While there, and complaining of a headache again (I'm guessing from a milder then normal cannabis dose or an accidental mild dose from something he ate perhaps) the actress gave him some headache pills. Unfortunately these pills contained a very heavy dose of vitamin D! That, on top of everything else (and the fact his brain was already damaged from the last attack in the restaurant) did him in. An unfortunate set of circumstances that have been obscured because of his fame and all the propaganda/legends that abound about the man.

As the certificate stated: 'death by misadventure'

my 2 cents :)

People like potheads laugh when they hear that a lethal strain of Nepali Hashish killed Bruce Lee. Nepali hashish from Katmandu is very potent and strong. It's concentrated into a brick--it's strong.

Here are two types of potheads: 1) the fat or middle-sized veteran who has been eating or smoking weed or hash for a long time.

2) the newbie or newjack potsmoker who probably goes to high school or college.

both of the above 2 types have a good amount of body fat to buffer the effects of Nepali hashish.

Bruce Lee had almost no body fat.

Also nepali hashish (the real potent type which I think is called SuperNepali) is very, very expensive. The above 2 types of potheads may take a vacation or trip to Amsterdam and be able to score this very expensive Nepali hashish. But, Bruce Lee was eating A LOT OF this prohibitively expensive Nepali hashish over a period of 5 or 6 months, from the filming of Game of Death to the making of Enter the Dragon. None of the above 2 types of potheads could afford to eat so much potent Nepali hashish every day for that long a time period. If they did, their bodies would do what Bruce's body did: vomit, to get rid of the poisons.

You would have to be a retired, very wealthy athlete to take as much Nepali hashish to kill a person. In good physical health with no body fat to buffer the potentially lethal effects of the hashish. Please note that hashish unlike weed is not leafy, it's an ugly, mud brick.

Also, Bruce had side effects from Nepali hashish--severe headaches. Even the movie Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story and all his close friends would say Bruce had severe headaches. Go and speak with the chinese elders who would be the same age as Bruce Lee would have been today--in their 60's and 70's and tell them about "Dai-ma" pronounced "Die-Mah". It's the cantonese word for Hashish and they will also agree that is what killed him.

It's worth noting that to understand what killed Bruce is to know what type of symptoms he had which led to his death: 1) vomiting 2) seizures 3) severe headaches, fainting and coma. All these symptoms run hand in hand with herbal poisoning. In fact, if you do a google search "vomiting + seizures + fainting/and or coma" you will get a long list of results showing "poisonous herbs."

In fact there's one herbal plant that if you eat a normal amount of, nothing will happen, but if you o-d on it or eat too much you will get headaches, vomiting and seizures!

Can you believe that? So please be careful on your trip to Holland or anywhere else where you can get a strong strain of hashish.

So, there you have it...the average pot smoker laughs at the educated research that hashish is what killed Bruce Lee because the average pot smoker doesn't have the following:

1) a lot of money to afford a large amount of what in small quantities is very expensive, namely a lethal strain of hashish and a lot of money to eat a lot of it every day for 6 months.

2) zero or very low body fat. This body fat would help buffer the potent effects of Nepali hashish.

Remember Linda Lee made a quick statement after Bruce died that she held no suspicion of nothing other than natural causes. Why did she do that so soon before an autopsy? Because she needed to say so for life insurance purposes and to prevent a epidemic in Hong Kong of Hashish use and to preserve Bruce's name in the eyes of children. The children of 1973 have grown up now. Do the research on the web site "Bruce Lee: The Divine Wind", read "Dynamic Becoming" by James Bishop copyr. 1997. All the respected martial arts authorities including Asian film expert Bey Logan know that it was hashish that killed him.

The 35th anniversary of Bruce Lee's death will occur on July 20, 2008. Out of respect to Bruce Lee, I have quit cannabis. I'm not a republican, conservative anti-drug freak. I'm still a liberal tolerant Democrat. But this info. needs to be told, out of respect to Bruce Lee.

and out of respect to Bruce Lee, a great human being, please don't make fun of this message.....

i've smoked 3 grams of hash in one day, really just to see if i could do it. it was good, i made it, out of very good weed, and the little i shared with someone else crippled them for a few hours.....but it took me all day to smoke that much, and i'm still here...maybe the nepali hash is better than mine (and maybe not) but i just don't think there's enough hours in a day to O.D. on any kind of hash....
i did sleep for 11 hours that night, but woke up feeling great the next day

My friend ate a gram of the GoldSeal back in 1995. It may have contained some Opium. Anyways an hour later he started vomiting weird brown foam, super foamy dense brown foam. He did not feel well at all. God knows what contaminants were in the hash back then ..it mostly came from some place in Afghanistan I think.
