Not sure I'd of took this many leaves off so be interesting see how this works out for you
Well as you see, three days later it is bushy as hell and bud sights everywhere. Seemed to like the haircut. I didnt take and sugar leaves only the big fan leaves shading bud sights and plucked any bud sights at the bottom that weren't going to amount to anything anyway. It is down growing, so now it can focus its energy on the buds instead of keeping leaves alive.

I will post a pic in here every week until I cut it down, we shall see how she turns out. I'm guess right around Christmas is when it will be ready to chop down.

Your trim job was great. Some people trim almost everything before flower, it's called "schwazzing".

Thank you! I thought I was being pretty brave to attack it like that, but everything I've read and been told made since. Gotta have room to breath and gaps for the light to make it into the bush. I did worry that I had gotten too aggressive at first but three days later she looked like I hadn't even touched her. So all my worries went away.

UPDATE:
So the closet just wasn't cutting it. Finally broke down and bought a tent. Wish I would have had it a long time ago, my lonely plant could have been so much bigger! Oh well. I have it for the next run, which I have legit seeds for next time. This was my first time and wanted to see how I did before I invested too much into it. Anyway, this is day 28 of 12/12 and she is happy.

nice freaking grow for your first time. looks like you have a natural green thumb. The structure/training job/trimming on that plant is so much better than what my first plants looked like. nice job

Thanks man! I appreciate the compliment. I've just spent a lot of time trolling and reading threads/watching how to's, and then did my best to mimic what I saw. I have always been a gardener, cannabis is not much different, just have to watch for her to tell you what she needs. I do wish I had stronger lights, but for my first time, I am happy with anything I get.

That's the way to do it. Read first, then attempt. Others think jumping right in is better and then quit for good when it doesn't turn out right. Yea, those are good results so far with that low intensity of light. I do agree, you would be killing it with a better light. But you gotta start somewhere.

I know it is not top of line but definitely an upgrade, by the time my next plants are ready for flowering I should have 2 of these which will be 500 watts, in a 2x4 tent. Thought of doing scrog, but with two different strains not sure how that would go. I will be trying bubba's gift and big bud next run.

It may not be the best light but definitely better than what I have. I have seen reviews on it and it puts out a good spectrum of light. And with a 5' tent height I am not going with HPS/Mh simply because I dont want to have to deal with that much heat and having to keep my next plants that low so they dont get burnt. Thanks for the unintelligent comment though. If you have something constructive to say, by all means but otherwise go troll somewhere else.

Not a troll, just know that plants need leaves.I have been growing for a long time and have never seen a need to rape my plants. When you strip the leaves it takes time for the plant to recover, time better spent on flowering.
