My first time doing a manifold/mainlining, this is one i did 16 tops, it has 15 tops because I was high when I did the topping. Might look hungry but fucked if I know, things eats like me at McDonald’s in 1985. 1600w Hps, day 2 12/12.. paper towel roll for reference, not shutting light off lol. I’m taking buckets of clippings nightly, I have to go under yet for a final trim but I’m waiting for some rapid rooters. Edit: after looking at them I realized the hps is way too close.

I’m gonna try mainlining on a couple Fast Buds GSC autos. Waiting for one more node of growth.

Just supercropping to control the canopy. No defoliation or anything else. 600 watt HPS. I don't hit that target all the time as I have been spending most of my time dabbling in breeding and growing small plants. But when I do a grow for volume I can hit that every time. I don't spend the time training as it takes too long and you get less grows a year. By the time some have trained their plants for months I'm halfway through flower. I also don't defoliate anything. In fact I don't trim a single leaf.

XTSO, would you say your environment is dialed in well? (Because clearly there is good shit happening).

1. acquire good genetics (dig them out of seeds, get proven clones, whatever)
2. bend aforementioned good genetics regularly and without mercy until the flowers set in, aiming for an even and expansive canopy
3. ?????
4. profit!

bonus: run de lights or quality leds
What is it about RIU (or pot) that draws so many highly literate, writers? I love RIU as a priceless source of info, but I also dig the sense of humor & often almost poetic writing.

I want more lights.

Renfro, your shit is gorgeous. The plants, the room. Everything screams “industrial grade.” What, may I ask, do you use for temp & RH sensors, probes or controllers?

I did not run a sub-panel for the room, as would have been smarter. I was hoping to begin an audit of all main panel breakers this week, actual load vs rated (80%), TTL load vs panel rating, etc. If I have the capacity, & I suspect I do, I’m gonna pull some more 12g Romex for at least one more home run from the grow room, & some ceiling mounted recepticals for tent equipment.

Your room is yet another example that I need side lighting (among other things) to get that higher yield of top quality nugs. I’m convinced that I also need to improve my environmental controls. My primary room is currently not set up to vent / introduce fresh air, & it’s been suggested that I want to vent at “night.” My basement/ lung room also isn’t yet set up to vent outside, & for summer, I really need it to.

It was interesting to me that u use GH nutes, as I do. I think GH are sometimes perceived to be for “beginners,” & it’s encouraging to see you pull weight with it.

I think I have it dialed pretty good for what I'm doing. When I do a quantity run I can easily pull over a pound with just a cheap 600 watt HPS in a 4 x 4 tent. It's pretty much hands of as well. A reservoir, cheap complete nutrients, blumats, fabric pots, coco. Sometimes I don't even look at the plants for days. Watering is just making sure the reservoir is filled. Other than that, once everything is set I just wait for the plants to be done. I don't spend much time looking at my plants except for every couple of days for maybe 10 minutes looking closely to see if there are any signs of bugs. I don't trim any leaves so no time spent there. Occasionally I do need to stake up some of the plants if the cola's get too heavy and start falling over.

So basically once all the plants are in and blumats setup it runs just like a machine. A timer controls the light and blumats water the plants. I never have nutrient issues so I'm never running around from this issue to the next like many. I go simple and it works. I don't have anything to do until harvest which I detest. I hate trimming weed.

Yeah, I gotta say I hate trimming, too. I usually defoliate or lollipop, & I skip mids & some trimming that way. Or the trimming is done on the installment plan, I suppose.

I don't do any defoliation so I'm dealing with bushes. When I trim I go around the plant and take off all the fan leaves and cut off all the large colas and trim those up first. Then I go to the secondary buds and trim those. Any larf left on the plant I literally strip it off and dry it in a tray. That gets saved up for making dry ice hash so nothing goes to waste except the fan leaves. Then I go take a shower because whenever I trim a decent amount of weed by the time I'm done I itch like crazy all over. The only way to make it stop is to take a shower. I've heard of people getting rashes when they trim.

Good luck. HST and autos did not mix well for me.

10-4. That’s a bummer, & I do see others who had the same experience. I’ve got 2 indoor & 2 outdoor. I’ll HST 1 of each. Never grown outdoor, never grown autos, never tried mainlining, so all new ground to me. I do have a photoperiod grow going, so if I pull grams off the autos, I won’t put a gun in my mouth.

I also just top once and supercrop if I'm running regs and won't end up with 12 females. I also think coco has a lot to do with how well my plants turn out, that grow was my second time using jacks and got some n tox but they still turned out great. Only disadvantage to single colas is it's a bitch to get good clones and sometimes I can't get a good one till later in flower.
Which Jack's products do you use? I assume you also use Cal-Mag at each watering. Right?

12 single cola in 2gal coco. 3 week veg clones. 1.5-2oz per plant under 600w.View attachment 4579976
Assuming you have 8 plants... 8x2.0oz=16 oz=1 Lb... and you are happy? Where the heck are the big mouths who proclaim pulling off 4 Lb+ per 3-4 week veg cycle and 8-9 week flowering?... Planet mars? Sounds Marsian shitt got some magic nut for a such egregious yield!

Some LED users claim 2g a watt, I don’t pay attention or care as I run hps. If you are saying 4lbs off a 1k hps In hydro isn’t possible, I’m guessing you don’t run 1k de hps fixtures.
Off a double end fixture.... its possible. Not easy. But possible.

Huh? 12 plants = 24oz = over 1gpw off single end hps and 3 week veg. I'm happy with it.
